I have never been a big fan of shorts. I would rather wear a skirt any day, if given the option. While I do have a few pairs, I pretty much never go looking for more to buy. But, when I saw these on the sale rack, I was instantly drawn to them...probably due to their vintage-inspired shape & feminine detailing. Because they are dressier than my other styles & the color is a rich neutral, they'll transition nicely into the fall when paired with tights and booties.

This outfit is gorgeous :) I am similar to you in that I opt for skirts over shorts every time (although I am guilty of mini denim shorts in summer) ... I know we're focused on the shorts but I have to say I also adore the nail colour you're wearing. Tops the outfit off perfectly!
