I have been loving all the faux fur pieces I've seen in stores lately and I was really planning on purchasing a jacket of some sort. But, after trying several on, I realized that when you have broad shoulders, this is not the most flattering style (I looked like a linebacker). So, I decided on a vest instead. I love that this one has an open front and a cropped shape...the longer ones I found seemed to add too much bulk for me.
I think it is such a fun piece, even though my husband laughed at me when I put this on & my daughter declared it my "DoodleBop" vest (you other moms will get this reference). Still, I love layering different textures in this way - see how I paired silk, faux fur, denim & leather? I'm already picturing the other items I can wear this with...like a cream-colored turtleneck & the skirt worn here.

Love the combo of all the different textures and materials... and colors! This vest is different from so many in stores with it being cropped and I think it might be my favorite style. Looks great and those boots are fabulous!
