Empty Streets

There was a day when I never would have worn this top & skirt together (and according to my husband, I shouldn't now either).  But, from time to time it is good to take risks and try something slightly outside our fashion comfort zone.  Sometimes the results might just pleasantly surprise you.

What I'm wearing:
LOFT top, Banana Republic skirt, Anne Klein NY tights (here), LC Lauren Conrad pumps (on sale here), J. Crew necklace (via eBay), Nails: Dior Vernis Purple Mix

I really like this skirt and top together. It would have been easy to just throw on a black sweater or something, but this makes it more interesting! Love the pretty necklace too.

The skirt definitely works. I love that the green is muted, plus the pockets are perfect.

I am definitely pleasantly surprised :) I would never think to pair that top with a bright green skrit, but you pull it all together and look so CHIC! Going outside of my comfort zone is something I try to apply to all areas of my life, fashion included. Props to you!
