Double-Duty Sequins

I know, I'm wearing sequins again...but I can claim it wasn't my idea this time because it's for the latest Bloggers Do It Better challenge.  Obviously, I had quite a few sequin pieces to choose from (even some I haven't shown on PPF yet).  But, I decided to pick something I've already featured in an outfit post (here) & style it 2 different ways to further prove its versatility.  Keep scrolling down to view the second outfit & tell me which one is your favorite!

What I'm wearing:
J. Crew top (on sale here), Old Navy vest, Gap belt, Style & Co. jeans, BCBG pumps (similar on sale here), Banana Republic ring, Bracelets: Banana Republic, J. Crew, Forever 21, Nails: Zoya Roxy

LOOK #2:

What I'm wearing:
J. Crew sequin top (on sale here), H&M blazer, ELLE jeans, Mossimo pumps (here),
Forever 21 necklace (last seen here)

I love both of your looks. So glad you decided to share both. I think I like the first one best because it is a little different from your typical looks. You look gorgeous as always.

I like the second one best!

Wendy (SpikesnSparkles) said...

they are both great outfits! I like the first one most because I like the contrast between the glam sequins and the utility vest. But I would totally wear the second one out for dinner or drinks in a heartbeat!

Both looks are great but I think I like the first one better. The polar opposite pairing really comes together great. Casual/Country with the vest and the jeans but Glam/Hollywood with the heels and shirt. Great look!

Both of these looks are killer! I have to say though, the combo of the girl sequins with the utility vest is awesome. It makes me want to go buy both these pieces right now!

This is awesome... that shirt is amazing (J Crew needs to have an extra % off sale so I can pick it up!) and adore how you mixed it two ways. The vest is so fun... more of a fun spin. Happy weekend, Kimberly!

Sequins are the best. I vote for more sequin posts, haha.

My favorite is the first look, I love the edgy/downtown vibe that the a cargo green vest gives.

Both looks are great, but I'm digging look 2 best - the black blazer really makes the gold sequins pop, and I love that you paired it with dressed down denim and dressed up black pumps - great look! I loved participating in my first BDIB challenge with all of you amazing ladies!

I love this sequin top with the vest. That burnished gold with the green is such a great combination!

I had all of these things (the blazer, sparkle shirt) and wore this on Sunday! I had a sparkle tank, a blazer that I bought when I was prego with Mally and have yet to wear it (I got it on mega clearance at Kohls for a couple $$ but then when I got it home I didn't know what to wear with it) skinny jeans and some sassy boots. Loved it!! Then I went to my Mom's and I said... have you been on PPF lately? I'm being a total PPF girl today! : )

I ALMOST bought this blouse at J.Crew the other day, instead I got a couple of sweaters & a pair of red wool trousers. Love your take on the BDIB challenge!

Thank you for visiting :)

These are both great outfits! You can never go wrong with sequins! :) I think my favorite look is the one with the black blazer for night time! I love to throw on a black blazer or a leather jacket over just about everything. Love that sequin top!
