Lacy Afternoon

You may have seen me tweeting recently about my new clothes shopping discovery.  It happened accidentally one day while getting some things for my 8-year-old daughter.  I bought an XL girls striped tee & realized that it fit me!  So, when I saw this top on clearance at Gap Kids, I was so excited - it's the same color as the J. Crew lace top I've been drooling over, but cost me less than $15!  (This is a decidedly more conservative pairing, but was ideal with a white blazer for Easter service at our church last weekend...which was when these pictures were taken.)

What I'm wearing:
Gap Kids top (sold out online, check your local stores), Banana Republic skirt (last seen here), Merona belt, BCBG pumps, Forever 21 necklace, Vintage & Monet bracelets, Nails: Sally Hansen Shrimply Devine, Lips: NARS Roman Holiday

no way that is from gap kids!! so cute!!

isn't it amazing how much higher women's clothing is? wish girls' clothes worked for me!

That color combo really makes your blue eyes pop. I'm going to have to try it for myself.

Gap kids!! Amazing. Such a cute top and looks great with the belt!

That top is so amazing! I can't believe it's from Gap Kids. Outfit was perfect for Easter - hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with your family!

That top is amazing! I can't believe it came from Gap Kids! So awesome. I wish I could wear little girls clothes.

Gap kids finds are so exciting when they work! That top looks far from childish.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one who can wear kid's clothes! Love the skirt too!

that shirt is a MAJOR find!! I'm dying to head to Gap and now you have given me an extra reason. Dangerous!

Lol. You and your daughter have entered the stage of clothes sharing! One that I am definitely looking forward to with mine. She already tries to borrow my clothes but she's still too small.

I've tried girls' tops but find they don't fit across the bust correctly - I wonder if that's why the JCP blouse fits better on me than you?

I love that you bought a kids shirt! What a great idea. I do the same thing with my football jerseys!

i loveee the lace top! i saw the jcrew lace skirt kind of similar to it and almost bought it..

Ooh! The hot pink lipstick really makes your blue eyes pop! I will have to try a hot pink lip and nail. Right now I'm loving a dark red on my lips to make my blue eyes pop, but this looks fresh for Spring!

This top is gorgeous and the fact that you bought it at the childrens store is awesome! It doesn't look childish at all- in fact the lucky little girls who wear this are some stylish girls. Love this color combination!
