Distressed Texture

My husband thought I was a little crazy when I came home with these jeans -  "You bought them that way?"  Little did he know, I had actually been looking for the perfect pair of lighter wash, slightly distressed (but not too ripped) jeans.  I couldn't believe my luck when I found these in my size for less than $30...much cheaper than this style I was lusting after!

What I'm wearing:
Forever 21 sweater (similar here or here) & jeans (similar), Ann Taylor blouse, ALDO heels (on sale here), J. Crew necklace (via eBay), Dockers aviators

I'm laughing so hard right now about your post. I bought a pair of boyfriend jeans from Target because I loved how they fit but hated how they looked so "boring" and plain. I looked online at the more expensive jeans and distressed them on my own in the same way and washed them in bleach 3 times. Now they have that perfect worn in destroyed look that so many of the "expensive" brands have. My husband walked in as I was slashing away and sanding the jeans and thought I was nuts for "ruining" them!

I love distressed jeans! So fun to wear. And so glad my hubby just goes with what I buy. :-)
Have you had any problems with the ebay (J.Crew) necklace? I'm debating on getting one. Just not so sure of the quality.

I love that sweater over the blouse. It looks great paired with the distressed jeans. I remember buying a pair a few years ago and my mom freaking out. I can't imagine what my hubby would say if I bought a pair.

I love this look and LOL'd at your husband's comment ... my grandfather used to say the exact same thing when the acid-washed look become so popular in the 80's. "You spent HOW much on jeans that are already old?" ;)

This color combination is a stroke of genius! I've always liked distressed jeans too, but I can't actually explain why.
