Tricks & Tools

These products are definitely the less-glamorous side of fashion, but are all completely necessary at one time or another...just ask celebrity stylists!  Some of them I've been using for years and others are just recent discoveries of mine that are too good not to share.  Here's a few of my favorite tools (all under $20) for perfecting my look & protecting my wardrobe:

7) ALDO Speedwell Outsole Grips - $5.79 (also in black)

I swear by the band-aid friction block too!!! Havent worn a band-aid since I discovered it! Makes those uncomfortable shoes just fine to wear all day!!

That necklace extender is such a fantastic item. I'm going to have to invest in one of those!

That hole puncher is awesome! I need that for some sandals that are too big in the straps.

Totally agree on all of these! Especially the band aid stick though, it really helps - but if you're in a crunch Vaseline works really well too! You just put the vaseline on your feet and the back of your shoes and it should prevent blisters!

All great suggestions! The necklace extender is definitely a must, and I think I have them on most of the pieces I own. I was really disappointed when a necklace I received as a gift was way too short -- choker-length, for sure -- until I bought one at a local craft store. I tend to like my necklaces on the long side.

I feel like all of these will make my life so much easier. Especially the belt punch!!

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! senseandsequins.com

Thank you so much, Kim! I've been looking for something to keep my belts in place and I can't wait to see how they hold up. The leather puncher is so affordable too. Looking to get myself one soon. I have lots of leather and suede boots and was thinking about going to a shoe place, but I love DIYs. Thanks for sharing!

yes, yes, and yes... I have most of those things in my toolbox (aka makeup bag), but definitely need to get on purchasing the rest!

Love this post! I use a bracelet to extend my necklaces - never really thought about purchasing an ACTUAL extender... duh!

I love extending my necklaces! I use an old ankle bracelet, though, because I needed something in a pinch.

I love my leather hole puncher! I got mine from my local crafts store and it is so helpful!

I also swear by that Band-Aid stick for preventing blisters, but need that leather tool for my belts! Love the idea of showing the non-glamorous must haves that keep us looking oh so glamorous all day!

Nice post! These are really the essentials.

I need that belt hole-puncher! I'm always struggling to create new holes to make my belts smaller.I didn't know such a tool existed!

This is kind of embarrasing to admit, but I only have knowledge of one of those products. Thanks for educating me.:)
