Menswear-Inspired

I'm always looking for creative ways to layer pieces in the colder months and lately I've been playing around with wearing vests over blazers & jackets under coats (great examples herehere & here).  I really love the menswear-inspired vibe this particular combination has, which feels fresh & modern.  Distressed jeans were the best way to balance out such buttoned-up, polished pieces...and the addition of pointy-toed pumps & sparkling studs helped give it a dash of femininity.

What I'm wearing:
H&M coat (similar), thrifted J. Crew blazer (last seen here; simlar here or here), Old Navy shirt (similar), Forever 21 jeans (similar), Charles Jourdan pumps (on sale here), Vintage clutch, Ray-Ban sunnies (similar), BaubleBar earrings (here), Lips: L'Oreal Colour Riche Fairest Nude, Nails: Essie Beyond Cozy

I am loving your use of items from H&M and Forever 21! These two stores can be so affordable especially when snagged from clearances. I have to say WOW on the outfit...I never would have thought it was not SUPER expensive :) Almost all my clothes are thrifted so I can appreciate the thrill of finding a JCrew Blazer-I found a Zara blazer recently too-sigh, happiness.

Never considered doubling up on coats but this really works well. Loving the heels and that bag is a great find!

I really like the idea of layering 2 coats like this. I usually go this with a biker jacket over my denim, but will try this with more winter pieces when I move back to the UK in january.

I'll agree with everyone else on the great outfit but I also want to comment on how great that lip color is on you. It's a bit of a departure from your bold colors but it really looks wonderful with your skin tone and hair color.
