Frill Seeker

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the peplum trend - the shape is ultra-flattering for just about every body type & has a retro feminine vibe that I love.  Unfortunately, with most of my peplum tops being sleeveless, I haven't been able to wear them into the cooler weather as much as I'd like (except when I layer them like this).  So when I found this tweed version, I instantly fell in love with the elbow-length sleeves, chunky texture & exaggerated frill - the perfect ladylike option for the winter months (and an easy way to dress up my skinny jeans).

What I'm wearing:
c/o SheInside top (here), Seven jeans (last seen heresimilar), Marc Fisher heels (on sale here), Madewell belt (birthday gift from Jennhere), Merona clutch (here), c/o JewelIQ earrings, Ann Taylor cuff (similar), Pencil Shavings iPhone case (on sale here), Lips: L'Oreal Infallible Mesmerizing Merlot, Nails: Dior Purple Mix 887

I love tweed for fall. And I've got to say, I'm not a mom yet... and I am still lazy to wear heels over 1", kudos to you! I haven't taken pictures of any real-life outfits yet, but am quickly becoming addicted to polyvore... my Polyvore Dream Outfits are the stuff (my) dreams are made of.

Hope you get a chance to stop by and say hello!

LOVE how you added this belt to this top. This outfit is one of my favorites of yours. The fit is amazing, the peplum tweed is beyond (now on my 'dying for' list) and the sevens pull it all together. Gorgeous.

I disagree that peplum works on all body types. I'm hippy and it exaggerates my hips in a very non-flattering way. However, it looks adorable on you! And the belt just makes it for me. I love polka dots.

You look so pretty! I love the top - I had the same thoughts about peplum tops (many are sleeveless, so it's hard to wear them this time of year unless you layer), but this one is perfect! Also, the other day, I spotted that clutch at Target on clearance for under $6 - obviously, I couldn't pass it up! :)

This is SUCH an amazing peplum! LOVE the fabric and how seasonally appropriate it is! I have had a hard time with peplums so far - I've only tried on 2, but both have been too short in the torso for me, leaving the flare at an awkward place! The hunt continues! You look so pretty, loving the dark red lip, too!
