Since November, when my husband started working from home, we began a weekly tradition of coffee dates together on Wednesday mornings - after we drop the kids off at school, we drive into the city to our favorite little cafe and spend time just the two of us. Sometimes I find myself looking forward to the middle of the week even more than the weekend because that alone time is so rare & special. I wore this outfit on our date last week - I still can't get enough of plaid & this mix of rich earth tones felt right for the chilly (but snow-free!) weather.

Dates with your husband are special and don't have to be a big deal. My husband works many hours and isn't home alot, so when he has that one day off a week, we make a point to go have lunch and then get a coffee while our kids are at school and just catch up and have good conversation. It's my most favorite part of the week!
