Winter Florals

I had a reader write me last week asking for some creative layering tips for the office.  When I used to work full-time (before I had kids), I remember how unbelievably cold our building was and some days I would end up wearing my wool overcoat at my desk all day in an effort to stay warm.  A better solution by far is this silky blouse + textured sweater + blazer combination - it works equally well with cropped trousers or a skirt & strikes just the right balance between cozy and polished.

What I'm wearing:
Zara blouse (similar), Old Navy sweater (here), H&M blazer (similar here or here), Kenar pants (via Marshall's; similar here or here), Guess pumps (similar), Merona clutch (on sale here), c/o Outrage Fashion necklace (here), c/o Wren & Glory ring (here), Simply Vera Vera Wang aviators (similar), Lips: L'Oreal Colour Riche Fairest Nude

That necklace is amazing! I love, love the layering that you have going on. It's perfect to brighten up a dreary winter day and can so easily transition into spring!

Great layering advice! And the sweater and blouse isn't too bulky to wear under a blazer. Love the color of that sweater!

This is a great look, Kimberly! I've been looking for outfits to wear to the office that isn't "office-y" because who wants to wear skirt or pant suits? Thank you for this look and I hope to see more from you!

I'd love to see all your layering tips! I think layering is one area that I struggle in. I just feel frumpy! I love the color of your sweater and the silk blouse is a great pop of color! <3

I was THIS close to buying that clutch just yesterday! I'm not usually a fan of pastels, but the dark pants and white blazer bring it to another level. Beautiful as always!

This is a great outfit! I have that same sweater from Old Navy from last year, and I've almost worn it to death. The pastel looks great on you. Also a great combo with the white blazer to add structure and crispness.

I love this idea for layering! It works great and the textures work so well together! It is freezing in my building almost every day, so I wear a very unfashionable fleece zip up with our company's logo on it ;) Maybe I should try this instead!
