Fresh Mint

As much as I love wearing bright colors & have been trying to embrace them more, I keep reverting back to neutrals.  This soft palette of creamy ivory, icy mint & warm nude is one of my favorite combinations because it works well in both winter & spring (though would probably look better if I had a slight tan).  I'm also finally breaking out of my makeup rut and have been trying some different smoky eye looks lately.  I've included below the product I used if you're interested in recreating for yourself & let me know in the comments if a tutorial would be helpful!

What I'm wearing:
Forever 21 sweater (similar here or here), c/o Warehouse coat (similar), H&M pants (similar here or here), Mossimo pumps (here), Forever 21 bag (here), c/o Lilac Bijoux necklace (here), Forever 21 ring (here), Eyes: Revlon ColorStay Smoky Shadow Stick Torch, Lips: L'Oreal Colour Riche Fairest Nude

Gahh I'm pretty sure I have that sweater in cobalt blue and it's incredible! I wish I bought the cream/ivory one now. Thanks for linking to that Gap sweater. For once Gap has a sweater with good reviews this year.. sigh.

I love the combination. I have a pair of mint pants that I have yet to wear because I think they're so "much", but I love how you incorporated with a neutral palette.

Would love a tutorial on the smoky eyes. So many tutorials are for blacks and greys - but with my fair skin, I think the browns you used would be much more flattering. It looks amazing on you!

The coat is really the icing on the cake. Great look! And your eye makeup looks pretty too...good job with the experiment. I live very much in a makeup rut, although it doesn't really bother me. It's easier to get ready in the morning when I have a routine that works for me!

JulieK,

Yes, I really love the look of tall boots & they were on my list to buy last fall...but I had the hardest time locating a style that fit through the calves for me - all of them were too big! If you know of some that run slimmer through the calf, I'm open to suggestions, because I really would love to own a pair!! :)

Kimberly
