Winter Walk

It appears that our warm spell is officially over and the snow + freezing temperatures have returned.  As much as I would love to continue to pretend it's spring and dress in light layers, it isn't very practical given the current weather conditions.  Although I did refuse to wear tights on this particular day, which proved to be a mistake when I could no longer feel my legs after walking along the city streets to grab breakfast at our favorite spot.  Lesson learned: this NY winter is far from over yet.

What I'm wearing:
J. Crew shirt (similar here or here), H&M sweatshirt (similar here or here) & coat (similar here and here), Thrifted skirt (similar here or here), ALDO booties (similar here or here& satchel (similar here or here), Simply Vera Vera Wang aviators (similar), Ann Taylor hat (on sale here), c/o Christina M. Boutique necklace, Bracelets: Forever 21 (here & similar) & H&M (similar), Lips: Maybelline Are You Red-dy

Loving it all! I am so over winter! I am watching other bloggers and instagrammers posting pictures of the cutest outfits and shoes, all of which I cannot wear yet here in Michigan. Too cold and too much snow! Cannot wait for spring :)

I've been wondering...Do you really only wear your coat draped over your shoulders or is that just something you do for your outfit photos? I don't really understand it either way!

Hi Sarah,

I actually do it that way for outfit pictures because if I were to fully wear the coat, you couldn't see the details of what I have on underneath as well. Does that make sense? After the pictures were taken, I put my arms through the sleeves to stay warm! :)

xo,
Kimberly
