Sophisticated Suede

I love getting the chance to dress up, even if my regular everyday routine doesn't demand it.  For many years before my kids were born, I worked an office job that required more sophisticated attire...and if I'm being honest, there are some days that I actually miss it.  Although I don't have to dress professional every day of the week, I think it's important to have pieces in your wardrobe that look polished & can do double-duty.  All of the items in today's look are classic styles that will work for many different ages, occasions & body types - a lightweight turtleneck, fitted pencil skirt & classic trench coat.

Today I'm sharing my favorites with you from the new Eva Mendes Collection.  Her line has so many gorgeous feminine styles and all reasonably priced (though the coat is an investment piece, they have very regular sales that you can take advantage of).  This camel pencil skirt is not only comfortable & flattering, but I appreciate that the longer length makes it appropriate to wear to church or for a business meeting in the city.  And this faux suede trench is the most gorgeous rich burgundy hue with a luxe feel & drape to it that's definitely worth the splurge.  I'm also loving this cable-knit sweater & matching skirt and this faux suede sheath.  Check out more of my top picks below - everything is B1G1 50% off right now!

What I'm wearing:
c/o Eva Mendes Collection Trench (wearing an XS), c/o Eva Mendes Collection Turtleneck (wearing a S),
c/o Eva Mendes Collection Frankie Skirt (wearing a size 4), Zara belt (similar),
Charles Jourdan pumps (similar here or here), BaubleBar earrings (similar),
