Tunics & Tweed

Today I'm partnering with Nordstrom to share two new looks that you can wear now & layer later.  I stuck with a similar color palette for both outfits because I personally find that black, gray & burgundy are easy colors to mix & match with other wardrobe staples.  And I also selected pieces that are very versatile for dressing up or down.  Read on below for my styling tips to transition both outfits into the winter!

One of my favorite trends for the season are these sleeveless turtleneck tunics (see previous looks here & here).  I've mentioned before how they are great for layering without adding bulk and I also think they will transition nicely into the spring without a long-sleeve top underneath.  The length of this one is ideal for wearing over leggings, skinny jeans or faux leather pants (as I did here).  To rework this look for winter, I would add a wool coatcashmere beanie and swap out the heels for booties.

I have a hard time resisting fringe in any form, so when I came across this tweed skirt, I knew it would be a great addition to my closet.  This would also be an office-appropriate style when paired with a simple silk blouse - but I chose to give it a more casual modern twist by pairing with a chunky knit sweater & ankle boots.  To make this look winter-friendly, layer a tissue turtleneck underneath the sweater, add a faux fur vest & opaque tights.

What I'm wearing:
c/o Sun & Shadow Turtleneck Sweater (recommend sizing down; comes in 6 colors),
c/o Halogen Fringe Tweed Skirt (wearing a size 4), c/o Report Signature Myrna Booties
c/o TopShop Embossed Bag, c/o Nadri Hoop Earrings, Similar Ring, Similar Watch

Thank you to Nordstrom & ShopStyle for kindly sponsoring this post.
All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
