Modern Meets Preppy

Over the years, I've learned my lesson (the hard way) that not all heels are created equal.  I've made the mistake of purchasing pumps based on how they look and, inevitably, have been unable to wear them because they hurt my feet so badly. This pair is real suede and the lower heel height makes them so comfortable & easy to walk in.  I love the bow detail in back and that this soft navy hue is a bit unexpected and a nice change from my usual black (though just as versatile).  I paired them with one of my favorite plaid coats + a classic striped sweater and finished the look with this burgundy clutch, which was the perfect color to bring out these rich hues.

I already own three pairs of Sole Society shoes (these cognac booties are the most worn pair in my closet) and they are some of my favorites because they are high quality and they're easy on my feet.  They also have a great selection of affordable handbags, accessories, jewelry (& now apparel!) + you can get free shipping on orders over $30.  The heels I'm wearing here run true to size - I'm usually between a 9 or 9.5, but I went with the 9 because I knew, with genuine leather, that they would stretch a bit after regular wear.  Note: I recommend treating all your suede shoes with a protecting spray (especially in the winter months) to help prevent spots, stains & water damage.

What I'm wearing:
Joe Fresh coat (similar here or here), Madewell sweaterMadewell jeans (via eBay),
c/o Sole Society Nolan Clutch (also in olive & slate), c/o Sole Society Crystal Earrings
c/o Sole Society Mabel Pumps (also in black & mustard)

Thank you to Sole Society for kindly sponsoring this post.
