Winter Escape

Things have been really hectic around our household lately and, even though we didn't necessarily have time for it this week, my husband and I wanted to get out for a little "day date".  Ever since he started working from home, we've made these a regular priority because it's a great way to spend time just the two of us without having to pay for an expensive dinner & a babysitter.  Just for fun, I let him pick my outfit & where he wanted to go - I'm always surprised that what he most prefers me in are simple casual looks (it makes me wonder what he must think of my multiple layered outfits!).

Because the weather was particularly blustery, we went to explore a local conservatory near the city.  We'd driven by it before, but never actually ventured inside, and I'm so glad that we did.  Not only was it warm, but there were so many beautiful flowers, fountains, cacti + turtles and button quail wandering around.  There was no one else touring when we arrived, so we had the entire place to ourselves - it was such a wonderful way to escape from the cold and it felt like our own private oasis.

What I'm wearing:
c/o St. John's Bay Sweater (recommend sizing down; also in tall), Vila Jeans (similar here or here),
ShoeMint Mules, Zara Bag (similar), Bracelets: LOFT (similar) & ASOS (identical),
c/o Charming Charlie Rings (here & here), Pilgrim Earrings
Lips: NYX Tres Leches, Nails: China Glaze Street Chic
