70's Revival

We've seen 70's-inspired fashion make a huge comeback in the last year and while some of the silhouettes appeal to me, it can be a difficult trend to pull off if it isn't styled correctly.  So today I'm sharing my top tips for embracing your boho side in a few of my favorite pieces from Old Navy.  Both of these looks would be perfect if you're heading to any festivals this month, but they'd be equally great for everyday.  If you have Super Cash, now is the time to spend it because select spring styles are up to 40% off (every piece I'm wearing here is currently marked down).  But, if you don't, you can still get 20% off your online order using code BIGSAVE now through 4/14.

One of my favorite ways to adopt this trend is with pretty feminine florals.  I typically prefer smaller ditsy prints because I find they are easier to pull off & more universally flattering.  I instantly fell in love with the floral print and relaxed shape of this swing dress - it's so comfortable and easy to wear & it also comes in a pretty yellow print, purple pattern or solid blush.  When it comes to loose-fitting dresses, I like to layer a structured piece on top, like a denim vest, to help give it some more shape.  You can pair this look with flat sandals & a straw hat or wear with leather ankle boots, as I did here.  I picked up a few more boho pieces when I was in the store including this off-the-shoulder top, this saddle bag & these comfortable wedges (recommend going up a size).

What I'm wearing:
c/o Old Navy Denim Vest (wearing an XS), c/o Old Navy Pleated Crepe Dress (wearing a Small),
Joan & David Boots (similar here or here), c/o Old Navy Bag (similar here or here),
Zara Necklace (similar), Lips: Trish McEvoy Nude

Obviously I'm a big fan of fringe and it's probably the trend that I've worn the most on the blog this season.  I personally like to incorporate it in small doses and pair it with more fitted styles to balance out the playful vibe. This poncho is such a fun piece for the warmer weather & though it's ideal for wearing with jeans, it would also make a cute beach cover-up over a swimsuit with shorts.  I styled it with a button-down denim skirt & slip-on mules for a retro meets modern feel.  Other fringed styles I'm loving right now are this long vestthese t-strap sandals & this sueded crossbody bag.

What I'm wearing:
c/o Old Navy Fringe Poncho (wearing a Small), c/o Old Navy Denim Skirt (wearing size 4), NastyGal Bag, ShoeMint Mules (similar), Pilgrim Earrings, Bracelets: NastyGal & c/o Old Navy (similar here and here)

Thank you to Old Navy for kindly sponsoring this post.
All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
