The Impact Collection Giveaway

Today's post is one that's very sentimental & a little bittersweet, because it's bringing an end to something that meant so much to me.  As many of you know, I spent several months over the spring & summer working on designing my own jewelry line.  I was partnering with Trove to create a timeless collection of well-made styles that would be versatile enough for every day, but with standout details to make them special.  I had planned to name each piece after important women in my life and donate 20% of the proceeds to an organization that was near to my heart (read more here).  But suddenly, just two weeks before our launch date, Trove backed out of our contract because they had an opportunity to take their company in a different direction, which would mean shutting down their store. Needless to say, I was devastated & shared my thoughts here about how this tremendous disappointment affected me.

In all honesty, I was never looking at this as a money-making venture - my real passion was to use it to give back. In the end, what matters most to me is that I can look back on my years of blogging & know that I took every opportunity to create something greater, to look beyond myself & to have a lasting impact.  So, when this deal fell apart, my biggest concern was the charity that I had promised the money to.  Thankfully, after negotiations, the team at Trove agreed to gift an amount to FMSC based on the sales we had projected for the line.  I was so grateful to them for their willingness to honor our original contract & to support to this amazing organization.  As a result, the amount we donated was able to provide 6,818 meals to children in need across the globe.  I had tears in my eyes as I read that number, knowing how many lives would be given hope because they could finally get the nutrition they need to grow & develop.

For the second part of our closing agreement, Trove also promised to send me samples for four of the pieces that we had produced so I could host a giveaway here.  I wish that I could send a piece to every single one of you as a way of letting you know just how much I appreciate your support through all of this.  But, thankfully, I have multiples of each design, so there will be 35 winners!  All of my jewelry is 18k gold plated over .925 sterling silver & beautifully made to last for years to come.  Here are the four pieces I'll be giving away:

The Emily Ring
*named after my niece; more photos here
Triangles were an over-arching theme throughout my collection & I love the unique cut of these stones.  This lightweight wrap ring is perfect for wearing on its own or stacking with other rings in your collection.  Because of the open shape, you can adjust it to fit on any finger you like - one size fits all!

The Lauren Necklace
*named after my daughter; more photos here
Rose quartz is one of my favorite stones & I decided to give a little edge to this pastel-colored crystal by incorporating a polished spike shape into a gold triangle structure.  The chain is 26" and the pendant measures 2" long.

The Amy Hoops
*named after my sister-in-law
These 1" hoops are perfectly sized for every day - the mixed metals make them versatile enough to pair with other pieces you already own & the studded detailing gives them a cool modern vibe.

The Abigail Cuff
*named after my editorial assistant
Abbey came up with the idea for a cutout bracelet and we worked together to create this intricate design.  The cuff is 1/2" in width, finished in polished 18k gold and is malleable so it can be modified to fit small-large wrists.
