Timeless Chic

During a recent interview for a magazine feature (more details coming soon), I was asked what type of outfits I feel best in.  I thought about it & came to the conclusion that I typically prefer somewhat simple combinations that are timeless & chic.  This outfit is a perfect example of something that I put on & instantly felt confident in.  The fit of this skirt is absolute perfection - the higher waist & a-line shape makes it ultra-flattering. And these black loafers are a recent purchase of mine that I am obsessed with - how cool is that heel detail?  No one would ever guess how affordable these pieces actually are!

Yesterday was the official start of my two-month shopping freeze - having done this for the past couple of years, I don't feel the least bit anxious as I head into this experience.  We will be posting wardrobe challenges here on the blog every Sunday - the purpose of these will be to help provide outfit inspiration for those who are joining me in my hiatus + to highlight some affordable options surrounding a specific theme for those who are still shopping during this time.  Let me know in the comments below if you plan on participating!

What I'm wearing:
Warehouse Coat (similar save or splurge), c/o Dorothy Perkins Sweater (identical style here),
H&M Skirt (recommend sizing up), ASOS Heeled Loafers, Vintage Clutch (similar here or here),
Marc Jacobs Earrings (stud version here), Banana Republic Ring (similar),
