Essential Espadrilles

All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.

Over the last month, I've been sharing about my favorite types of sandals for the season, but by far the most popular of them all is the classic espadrille.  So, today I'm focusing on the 3 must-have espadrille styles for spring & summer and talking about how to pair them with different looks.  I'm highlighting some more of my top picks from Zappos & the best part is that everything featured in this post is priced under $75 & ships for free!

The espadrille wedge is a timeless style that every woman needs in her closet.  These are a great way to get a little lift without sacrificing comfort and they have an effortless feel that's just right for the season.  This black lace-up pair caught my eye because they're a little dressier than other versions I've seen, so I knew they'd be great for wearing with more polished pieces like this white eyelet top & these tailored shorts.  I went up half a size from what I normally wear for these sandals & I would also recommend sizing down for both the top & shorts.  More wedges to love include this linen pair or this splurge-worthy style.

What I'm wearing:

These are a more summery version of the traditional sneaker & are perfect for when you're on the go.  These work well with easy day dresses, shorts & denim for a sporty casual feel.  The style I'm wearing here has a built-in platform for a modern look, but if you prefer something more flat, try these or these.  I paired mine with this chic little striped dress - it's a lightweight knit material that is so comfortable & I love the cold shoulder detail.  You could easily dress this up with some jewelry & heeled sandals for evening too (love this floral option too)!

Many flat sandals lack support and simply aren't comfortable for lots of walking around (especially if you have back or knee problems), but this espadrille style has a "baby wedge" with plush cushioning that helps them feel more sturdy.  And, thanks to the neutral straps, they will go with any of my dresses, skirts or shorts.  Other options to try are this metallic pair or this lace-up style.  I couldn't resist the summery stripes on this maxi skirt (it also comes in blue) & the ruffle detail on this top adds a sweet feminine touch.
