Down To A Tee

We all know that basic solid color t-shirts are a wardrobe staple - these are my favorite & this white tee is a great non-sheer option.  But I also like to have a few styles that have an interesting element to them - whether it's a fun print, bold stripes, a graphic detail or ruffled edges...it helps gives a little more personality to your look.

I've been working on bolstering my t-shirt collection this year and I've been having fun getting creative with different ways to wear mine (beyond the obvious denim & sneaker combination).  All it takes is a little clever styling to turn a basic tee into a chic look.  I paired this striped style with crisp white shorts & leather slide sandals for a sophisticated feel.

When I'm wearing tops with high-waisted bottoms, I like to knot them at the waist to create a flattering silhouette. My secret trick: if there's not enough fabric to work with (or you're worried about stretching out the shape), just use a clear hair elastic to gather it off to one side & secure in place.

What I'm wearing:
Madewell T-Shirt (more sizes here), Zara Shorts (similar here or here),
c/o Everlane Sandals (recommend sizing up),
Old Navy Tote (similar), Merona Hat (similar),
