The sporty trend is one that’s proven to have serious staying power and has gained even more momentum this season in particular. Personally, I had no hesitation embracing these new styles – who doesn’t want to be comfortable AND chic at the same time?! I’ve discussed styling tips for sweatshirts and sneakers here before…but today I’m talking about how to style knit jogger pants. This street fleece is much more versatile than you might think and I’m on a mission to prove it to you!
I picked up this pair at Old Navy and I put together three different ways to pull off this trend without looking like you’re headed to the gym or wearing lounge-wear in public. This marled gray style is extremely versatile and the black tuxedo stripe down the side is not only slimming, but also keeps them feeling modern. These joggers are perfect for running errands, a trip to the local farmer’s market or just grabbing coffee with friends.
I’ve found the key to styling a slouchy casual pant is to pair it with at least one tailored piece – a vest, jacket, blazer or crisp button-down will do the trick. This helps balance out the relaxed feel of the joggers and gives them just the right amount of structure. Throw on an accessory like a printed scarf, baseball cap or stack of bracelets for an extra dose of polish and you’re ready to go!
