4 Ways to Wear + Go Chic or Go Home

For this month’s 4WTW, I decided to focus on a trend that is huge for fall – the cigarette pant.  I found this vintage pair at a thrift store for less than $10 – though mine are a silk shantung & have a dressier feel to them, you can apply these same pairing ideas with any slim cropped trousers you already have (basic black, printed, brightly hued).  Since we are entering layering season, I tried to use combinations that would work for the cooler weather (and most are work-appropriate too).

To make things easier on myself, I used the ensemble tool in Go Chic or Go Home to determine what pieces would look best together.  I first introduced readers to their site in this post.  (If you aren’t yet a member, you can request an invite here.)  It was so simple to pull items from my closet and create different looks – I personally find it so much better than standing in my room, staring at clothes on the rack.  And this way, not everything ends up in an enormous pile on the floor!  This will definitely be my new system for arranging outfits I want to try in the future and will come in handy for all my upcoming 4WTW posts!

What I’m wearing:

Old Navy shirt (similar), Vintage sequin tank (similar), Vintage pants (similar), Guess pumps (on sale here), Target scarf (here) & sunnies (similar), ASOS clutch (here)

What I’m wearing:
J. Crew blouse (similar here or here), Old Navy vest (similar), Vintage pants (similar), Old Navy oxfords (similar; also love this glittery pair), Forever 21 tote (similar), Dockers aviators (on sale here)

What I’m wearing:

H&M top (similar), Forever 21 blazer (here), Vintage pants (similar), Ralph Lauren pumps (via Marshall’s), Zara clutch (similar), Ann Taylor cuff (similar), Ray Ban sunnies

What I’m wearing:
H&M sweater (similar), c/o Fabulous on a Dime vest (here), Vintage pants (similar), ALDO booties (similar splurge or save), Zara bag (here), Banana Republic necklace, Vintage & J. Crew bracelets, Simply Vera Vera Wang aviators (similar)

I loooooove the last look with the fur vest and the Zara bag! I'm definitely going to have to re-create this look! I love that it looks so lady like, but the think chain and the booties give it some edge.
