Thank you to Walmart for kindly sponsoring this post.
All opinions are 100% honest & all items were hand-selected by me.
In addition to striped tees, cashmere sweaters & classic button-down shirts, it’s important to have a few pretty tops that you can reach for when you want to feel a little more put-together – whether you’re grabbing lunch with a friend, heading to an event at your kids’ school or dressing for casual Friday at the office. I personally don’t believe this is a wardrobe staple that you need to invest a lot of money in and today I’m setting out to prove it!
Because I know we’re all trying to make our dollars stretch as far as they possibly can, I challenged myself to find 5 versatile blouses under $30 that you can wear with your favorite denim or style with polished pieces for work. I couldn’t believe how many great options I uncovered at Walmart in rich autumn hues & timeless prints. I ordered over 20 & I’m sharing only the best of the best with you today! I purposely chose tops that were very different from each other in style, color & silhouette, so there truly is something for everyone – I’d love to hear which one is your favorite!
SOPHISTICATED
I’m starting with my favorite of them all – how pretty is this swiss dot blouse?! I just love the smocking detail at the neck & cuffs, which gives it a sophisticated feel. It also comes in black, but I think this green hue is stunning for fall. It looks so much more expensive than it is and you really can’t beat the price – under $20!! Other polished options worth checking out: this satin blouse, this peplum top & this classic button-down.

BOHO
Technically, this one is less of a blouse & more like a top (it’s 100% cotton), but I wanted to include it because I think it has such great details and it’s a bit more casual without feeling too basic. It has a looser fit, thanks to the slight babydoll silhouette, so I recommend sizing down for this one. It would look so cute with white denim & it also comes in a pretty teal or eggplant. Some more casual options include this tie-front top, this striped long-sleeve tee & this peasant top.
Quick note about these boots because they are SO GOOD – in a versatile cognac hue, with the perfect pointed toe, a comfortable block heel, 100% vegan & they’re under $50! They also come in black, which I’m seriously considering too.

POLISHED
I think it goes without saying that I’m a big fan of this color right now! The sleeve detail on this blouse lends a subtle feminine vibe. I went down a size & the fit is perfect – this would also be a great option for the office (pair it with a cognac suede skirt, plaid cropped pants or a leopard print midi). This mustard blouse, this button-down & this leopard top are more of my favorites from maurice’s.
I also have to call out these jeans because I am so impressed with them! After reading the reviews, I ordered up one size & they fit like a glove (also available in petite). This is the type of denim that really sucks you in & doesn’t lose its shape throughout the day – so flattering! These have less stretch than some of my other pairs & I think that’s what I love about them (plus the distressing is tastefully done).

FEMININE
This floral print blouse is definitely the most fashion-forward of the bunch. If you’re someone who likes ruffles & showing off your shoulders, this top is for you! What’s nice about this print is that you could easily wear it again in the spring with a lighter wash denim, white jeans or cut-offs (it comes in solid black & cream too). This is such a statement piece & would be a really fun choice for girl’s night out or date night. Other floral tops to try: here, here & here.

CLASSIC
Wrap blouses are some of the most flattering, in my opinion, so I had to include one here! This top comes in solid black, leopard print (ordering next!) or the mustard stripe that I’m wearing. I think the subtle peplum is so sweet (and forgiving) + it will pair perfectly with denim, a-line skirts or trousers for work. This is a true wrap style, so you can adjust it for a tailored fit – because I’m smaller chested, I added a camisole for more coverage, but if you’re more well-endowed than I am, the bust area should fit perfectly (though you may need to pin it to prevent any accidental exposure).
