Since I’ve been receiving so many questions lately about my skincare & makeup, I thought I would do a post sharing with you the items I use every single day and cannot live without. I know that everyone has different preferences & coverage needs when it comes to foundation…and while your face makeup does play a role in the overall process, I chose instead to focus on the other products I use (and swear by) to create a flawless finish & help keep it that way.
*I’m beyond flattered to be featured on Skinny Mom today – you can read the full interview I did with them here!
i have been using the cerave lotion since my dermatologist recommended it a few months ago. i like it because it doesn't make me break out but it does leave my skin shiny/oily. i need a really good moisturizer that abosorbs well, is oil free and doesn't cost $38547958749587. any recs? =) nars orgasm is THE best blush. and i am officially going to buy the arbonne right now. =)

It's always good to see what cosmetic products other blogger use. I really need to give the highlighter a try, it looks really inviting. Do you use the CerVe Lotion on your face? It looks like a body lotion? Unfortunately I cant open any of your links :-(. Thanks Kim for sharing. Have a great Tuesday 🙂

I've been wanting to try Benefit High Beam, I might have to now 🙂
Thanks for the useful tips you gave us today.
Hope all is well

Jen, you should try the CeraVe am – it has spf in it and it's less oily than the regular formula. There is also a pm version that I started using and love (but it's a little more spendy)!
Ani, yes the Cerave is a facial moisturizer, but you can use it on your body too and it's wonderful for that as well! Sorry about the links – looks like ShopStyle is down! 🙁
Do you think you could do a "Get the Look for Less" post on this? I can't afford to get all those high-end products but would like to know how I can have my face look like that using drugstore products. Great post though!
I'm going to have to buy High Beam. Everyone talks about it! Lovely post today.

This is great! Thanks for posting!
I just got NARS Orgasm a few days ago…there really is something special about it! I think it's the very subtle amount of shimmer. It's not so obvious that you look like you're covered in glitter, but just adds something special. Also, I like that the pigment is very saturated so you don't have to use very much (makes it last longer!)

So helpful! Your skin is totally beautiful so definitely taking these products to heart. Thanks!
I use a smashbox primer on days when I am going to be running around a lot and want my make up to stay put.
For nighttime moisturizer, there is a great Origins product called NIGHT A MINS. It smells delicious, doesn't cost a bundle, and one jar lasts a long time. Also has no alpha hydroxy, which I like
Not Going Out Like That
Love all of these products and use several of them myslef. I haven't tried the MAC Strobe Liquid, but think I might need to. Thanks for the great tips!

I'm all about simple, tried-and-true standbys like Cetaphil or CeraVe when it comes to skin. I always think the less you do to it, the better! And absolutely on track with the primer, blush and highlighter too – those are my go-tos as well!

ah thank you! i could always use advice for my beauty/skin regimen :>
Just had to say as a make up artist, I spend my days trying to tell people that you can still have that "lit from within" look if you are oily. I say your recommendations and screamed "FINALLY someone who understands!" in the middle of Starbucks. Now they think I am crazy but this is why I love your blog because finally…someone who understands!
I'm so excited to try some of these products!! You seriously have the most flawless skin I've ever seen!:)

this is great, thanks for the tips. That Nars blush looks pretty, I may have to give that a try for the upcoming wedding festivities. Any brush sets you can recommend?
