I love getting the chance to include her in posts because her personal style is slightly different than mine & I think it’s important to share a perspective other than my own from time to time. We went on a shopping trip to Old Navy with the goal of putting together casual layered looks using pieces that could be re-worn multiple ways. From Abbey: I have been searching for a pair of colored skinnies all season and these have the perfect blend of stretch & structure. I also plan to dress them up with a cold-shoulder blouse & leopard pumps for date night. I can’t believe I didn’t own a quilted vest before – so many I’ve tried on are too puffy and add unwanted bulk to my upper half, but this one has a flattering fit & slimming shape that’s perfect for wearing over sweaters & shirts. I also picked up this coat, which will be great for bundling up when the weather gets cooler.

The deep green hue of this sweater instantly caught my eye and I was so pleased with the fit (it also comes in berry, gray & oatmeal). It’s a longer length, so you can wear it over faux leather pants or leggings (these are amazing) & it would also look great with a button-down layered underneath. Everyone needs a soft flannel scarf for the cooler weather – this one has such a pretty mix of colors (it comes in 11 different patterns) – another way I’d wear it is draped over an ivory turtleneck with cropped trousers & pointed flats.
