Bright White

White denim is undoubtedly a summer essential…but unfortunately, the perfect pair can be really hard to find.  I’ve tried on dozens of styles that were too thin & almost see-through (not a good look) and others that didn’t have the right balance of structure + stretch to them.  Since I am pear-shaped, for years I stayed away from this shade of denim because I thought it would only further emphasize my larger lower half.  But, it’s true what they say – it is all about the fit!

This cropped pair were a dream come true for me – a flawless fit, comfortable and surprisingly flattering.  Though they are a boyfriend shape, I sized down for more of a “skinny” look and I’ve been wearing them nonstop ever since.  I decided to share two of my favorite ways to style them – one casual day look and one slightly more polished.  If you’ve been afraid of white jeans in the past, like I was, I encourage you to give these a try – I promise you won’t be disappointed (they also come in short & long lengths)!

What I’m wearing:
Dorothy Perkins blouse (here; use code DPFWE for 20% off), Gap blazer (similar), c/o Old Navy jeans (on sale here), Pour La Victoire heels via Marshall’s (on sale here or here), c/o T+J Designs cuff (similar), c/o Send the Trend clutch (here), Nails: Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet

What I’m wearing:
c/o Sheinside blouse (similar), c/o Old Navy scarf (here) & jeans (here), ALDO sandals (similar here or here), c/o JustFab bag (here), Michael Kors watch (similar), Bracelets: c/o Stella & Dot (here) & Forever 21 (similar), Ray-Ban wayfarers (similar)

I thought I had found the perfect pair of white skinnies. And then I saw myself wearing them on camera. Not so much. So I am still on the hunt. I always like the thickness of Old Navy jeans but for some reason they just do not fit me right! =( You look gorgeous!!!

Finding a pair of white pants/jeans is definitely hard to find with the issue being "too thin"! Love both looks but I really love the second look 🙂

I find that boyfriend jeans have the best shape for my "Latina" hips. Regardless of color, I think they work very well with pear-shaped bodies.

    Love the outfits!

You look so stunning!!! I am obsessed with the first outfit! Loving the lavender blazer with the floral top! I also had a tough time finding white jeans, and then I found my perfect pair in Zara last year, but I didnt purchase them! I was overseas, and thought it would be best if I got them when I returned – of course that never happened! So now I am back to looking for my perfect pair! Those white pants fit you perfectly! I may have to give them a try!

You always put together the nicest Old Navy Outfits! Especially love your Emerald Green look.

It is difficult to get the right white trousers, I agree, as too many are see-through.

Great outfits! Really like the second one! I'm always afraid to wear my white bottoms. Don't want to get them dirty. I have had great luck with the Loft boyfriend pants. For some reason, Old Navy bottoms don't fit me very well. I wish they did!

Finding white jeans is a challenge for sure! I actually have a bunch of pairs of nude, seamless boyshorts from victorias secret specifically for wearing with white jeans just because finding a pair that isn't at least somewhat see-through is nigh unto impossible.
