Checks & Balances

I can’t say enough how much I appreciated the comments, emails & overwhelming response to yesterday’s post about my son.  My husband & I sat down and read through each one with tears streaming down our faces.  I feel so blessed to have such an amazing support network & each one of you are a part of that.  Your kindness has been so comforting to me & I’m truly grateful for the encouragement and prayers during this time.

Today’s outfit post is my final plaid look for the week.  Monday was sophisticated & classic, Wednesday was casual & cozy and today’s is bold & trendy.  I initially planned to pair this skirt with a sleek black turtleneck, but decided to take a chance & have some fun trying something completely different.  When it comes to mixing prints, sometimes you just have to go for it!  This black moto coat helps tame down the contrasting patterns & adds just the right amount of edge.  It’s a warmer & longer version of my favorite faux leather style that I plan on wearing a lot through the fall and winter.

I’m partnering again with Statement Boutique to offer an exclusive discount on some gorgeous jewelry!  This bracelet I’m wearing is a beautiful piece that’s perfect for adding with other items you already own or it would make a great gift!  There is also a matching crystal necklace, which is perfect for the holidays.  Statement Boutique is graciously offering a discount on both of these stunning pieces – just use code PPF15 to get the bracelet for $15 and code PPF20 to get the necklace for just $20 (you can buy them separately or use the codes together).

What I’m wearing:
MNG by Mango Sweater, ASOS Plaid Skirt, c/o Dorothy Perkins Coat, Audrey Brooke booties (similar here or here), c/o JustFab bag (similar here or here), Bracelets: Zara & c/o Statement Boutique, Lips: Revlon Just Bitten Sweetheart
