Coffee Date

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen me tweet last week about my husband losing his job as part of a large layoff at the company where he worked.  Though there are challenging & uncertain days ahead, we are choosing to focus on the positive ~ like the fact that him being home now allows us middle-of-the-day dates while the kids are in school.  We took full advantage of it earlier this week & took a leisurely stroll through a tree-lined street in one of our favorite neighborhoods…then warmed up with coffee & treats at a little outdoor cafe.

What I’m wearing:

c/o Sheinside top (here), H&M pants (similar – use code EQUINOXBR for 25% off), C-Label flats (here), Necklaces: Forever 21 (similar) & c/o JewelIQ (here), Vintage Ferragamo bag (found at Savers for $8!), gifted Ray Ban sunnies (similar), Lips: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Adore, Nails: Sally Hansen Red Zin

I love your decision to stay positive. My husband was laid off at the beginning of 2011 and it ended up being a wonderful thing for us. It was a chance for him to reinvent himself and grow as an employee. It took 4 months for him to find his next job but now he is settled and rocking it out. Going through the whole process also brought us closer together. I made sure to always be his cheerleader, and to make sure he still "felt like a man." I hope your husband finds something new soon!! Your blog is one of my favorites!
