Color Pop

I recently decided that I need to make a more concerted effort to inject color into my winter wardrobe.  But since most of my bright pieces are in summery fabrics, it has been a little challenging.  Thankfully, the weather was so warm over the weekend that I was able to get away with just a few light layers.  This cheery combination of bright hues works because the small pops of color are balanced out with neutral basics…so it creates just the right amount of interest without being overwhelming.

*My mom is in town visiting & will be staying with us for the next 2 weeks, so I may not respond as quickly as usual to emails or tweets.  But I promise to get back to you as soon as I possibly can – thanks in advance for your understanding!

What I’m wearing:
J. Crew sweater (similar), H&M coat (similar here or here), Forever 21 jeans (similar) & scarf (similar), Madewell belt (similar), ALDO pumps (on sale here), c/o Olivia & Joy bag (here), Tobi ring (here), Nails: OPI A Roll in the Hague, Lips: Revlon Colorburst Coral

I love being able to layer in some summery colors and fabrics to my winter basics – sometimes you really need the bright punchy colors to deal with the winter gloom.

I have been feeling the same way lately, wearing so much black & gray this past month, that when warmer temperatures finally arrived over the weekend I also took advantage and busted out some color! I have a post coming up this week with a very similar pair of bright pink pumps! Makes you dream of spring a little, eh? Looking fresh & pretty here, girlie! Have fun with your momma!
