More so than any other year, I think we can all agree that 2020 has been the time for cozy basics. With most of us stuck at home, athleisure, loungewear & casual clothes have been getting worn more than anything else in our closets. And, though I am a self-professed over-dresser, I have come to appreciate pieces that are a good mix of function, comfort & style.
I wore this sherpa zip-up + bodysuit combo on a recent “family adventure day” & it was the perfect choice for staying comfy and keeping warm while we explored the Columbia River Gorge together. I’ve tried a lot of sherpas on this year (because they are so on-trend right now), but this one is hands-down the best quality – very thick & substantial! It also comes in a soft pale pink or charcoal gray & it’s currently on sale (recommend sizing down as it has a roomy fit).
I know bodysuits are somewhat controversial because they make going to the bathroom more complicated, but I’m a big fan of wearing them as a base layer underneath cardigans, jackets or blazers because you don’t have to worry about them coming untucked. This one is made from the softest material ever and isn’t so clingy/compressive that you feel like you can’t breathe or eat. I found it to run true to size & it’s also marked down right now as part of the UpWest Winter Sale (up to 40% off select styles + free shipping & returns on all orders!).
If you’re needing gift ideas for the men in your life, they have lots of great options like this waffle crewneck tee (henley option here), this fleece hoodie or this mockneck sweater. For women, check out this bobble sleeve sweater (see me wearing it here), this mockneck pointelle sweater or this duster cardigan. See more of my cozy casual favorites in the scrolling bar below!
