I was talking with one of my friends last week and we agreed that we could probably wear burgundy every day during the cold weather months and never get tired of it. But, sometimes it’s fun to go in the opposite direction of deep jewel tones and opt for something in a softer, lighter palette. Monochrome neutrals are so striking, especially when set against a backdrop of vibrant fall leaves – it’s all about choosing pieces with varying textures to help add interest.
I picked up these corduroy pants last week and couldn’t wait to wear them with this ivory sweater for a cozy autumn-meets-winter look. The fit on these is ultra-flattering and the corduroy is so soft that it almost feels like velvet! I also like that they are more of a cream color…so for those of you who don’t love wearing white jeans this time of year, these would be a great alternative. And this brushed knit scarf reminds me of the Free People style that was so popular last year (but with a much lower price tag!).
What I’m wearing:
Abercrombie & Fitch Beanie, c/o Joseph A Sweater (40% off w/ code PPF40),
LOFT Corduroy Pants, H&M Scarf, Dolce Vita Boots (similar here or here)
