Day to Night Layers

Spring weather can be quite unpredictable, no matter where you live.  So having a few versatile layering pieces is essential to being prepared for whatever the elements may throw your way.  While the days are usually pleasantly warm, I like to add a lightweight scarf to my casual outfits – not only does it provide a nice pop of color, but it also doubles as a wrap, should it get breezy later in the afternoon.  This lace top is such a gorgeous piece for the season & it’s easy to dress up with a flowy skirt or to wear with comfortable jeans for the weekend.


In the evening, it’s still necessary to have a jacket as the temperatures drop.  Wearing something feminine topped with the laid-back vibe of denim provides the perfect contrast without feeling too stuffy.  I love to roll up the sleeves & toss it over my shoulders for an effortless feel.  I honestly can’t say enough about the fit of this printed dress – it is unbelievably flattering (and so comfortable!), plus the zipper detail gives it a cool modern feel.
