I did quite a bit of online shopping during Black Friday/Cyber Monday & I was waiting until everything arrived so I could share my purchases with you here. In all honesty, I ended up returning quite a few things, but I’m highlighting the pieces I kept & giving you my full reviews, including sizing/fit information and styling tips!
In addition to the items below, I also placed an order with LOFT Outlet, which hasn’t arrived yet – they are having a great sale right now, where you can get an extra 10% off their already low prices with code TWICEASNICE. I picked up these lounge leggings, this lace hem top & this plaid skirt (will share my reviews once they arrive!).
LEFT: Off The Shoulder Sweater (also in black & purple), Similar Pants, Similar Pumps
RIGHT: Sheer Sleeve Top, Similar Skirt, Embellished Booties
I have been on the hunt for a red off-the-shoulder sweater for the holidays – I ordered several options and ended up keeping this one. I love the simplicity of the silhouette & the subtle puffed sleeves – it doesn’t feel too fussy and the folded fabric at the shoulders helps the sweater stay put. I did size down to an XS Petite for a more fitted look. If you prefer a more cozy oversized fit, try this or this. Every time I wear these pants, I get asked about them. Unfortunately, they’re a couple years old, but you could take any pair of high-waisted pants you own & sew decorative buttons on the front to achieve the same look. I’ve used this same DIY hack to elevate thrifted coats – swap out the plastic buttons for metal ones like these & it instantly looks more expensive!
I couldn’t resist this fun top when I saw how low the price was & it exceeded all my expectations – this is so perfect for a girls’ night out or date night! The stretchy knit bodice & sweetheart neckline make it unbelievably flattering, while the sheer sleeves give it an evening-ready feel. This would also be great for a holiday party paired with a metallic pleated skirt & strappy heels. I’d say this runs true to size – I’m wearing a Small.
LEFT: Flecked Button Sleeve Sweater, Skinny Jeans, Suede Boots
RIGHT: Fair Isle Sweater (also in gray), Similar Skirt (here or here), Sock Booties
I reviewed this button-sleeve sweater on my Instagram Stories a couple weeks ago and so many of you told me that you ran out & bought it. Yes, it’s a maternity sweater, but the only difference I can tell in the fit is that it’s slightly longer, which I actually prefer! I do recommend sizing down in this, especially if you’re on the petite side. It’s such a well-made knit, not at all itchy & a great dupe for this Madewell sweater dress.
I love a good fair isle sweater & you can’t beat this price! It’s really soft and runs true to size – obviously, this will be cute with jeans & boots, but I wanted to show you an example of how you can dress it up too! I’d also layer a faux fur vest over this or a chambray shirt underneath & pair with gray denim.
LEFT: Similar Vest, Sherpa Pullover (also in black), Faux Leather Leggings, Slip-On Sneakers
RIGHT: Faux Fur Vest, Sweater Hoodie, Similar Plaid Shirt, Skinny Jeans, Similar Rain Boots
I love the look of Sherpa pullovers, but so many of them make me look like a linebacker. This one is warm & cozy but not too thick so it’s more flattering & wearable. My favorite part is that the snaps are rose gold, which makes it look even more expensive. At under $20, it’s a total steal – I also ordered one in black for my daughter because she kept stealing mine! I found it to run true to size – note: I recommend washing it inside out.
This pullover is the perfect blend between a sweater & hooded sweatshirt, which makes it ideal for any athleisure or casual weekend look. This would also be cute layered under a moto jacket with the hood sticking out or throw it on over your sports bra & leggings on your way to yoga class. I typically size down in this brand, but I would stick with your normal size if you want to layer underneath or if you prefer a more relaxed fit.
LEFT: Cable Mock Neck Sweater, Similar Shirt, Coated Jeans, Pointed Flats
RIGHT: Pink Sweater (also in black & plum), Leather Belt, Similar Tweed Skirt, Sock Booties
I had my eye on this sweater for a while and it kept going in & out of stock – but thankfully, it’s available again & on sale! It has such a pretty open-knit pattern – you can wear a cami or tissue tee underneath, but I thought it was cute layered over a white button-down for a more polished feel. I got my usual size in this, but size down if you want yours more fitted. These coated jeans are the prettiest color for winter & they’re such a great price (they also come in black). They fit more like a legging/jegging and are perfect for wearing with longer sweaters & tops (I went up a size in these).
This sparkly sweater was actually something I ordered for my daughter, but she didn’t end up liking the color so I kept it! It’s worth mentioning that H&M recently changed their sizing – lately I’ve been ordering two sizes when I buy from them online because I am still trying to figure it out. I probably would have preferred the XS in this but I didn’t want to hassle with the return – so I’d say to size down if you’re in between or unsure.
