Ok this post puts you right into my personal DIY heaven, which makes you the DIY angel. What a nice metaphor. ๐ I LOVE this idea and I am sure I will try to do it with my unused lipstick (and I do have a lot of those). Thank you so much for sharing this. xo, Christina

Easy peasy! Thanks for this DIY.
This is a great DIY! I just threw out a whole bunch of lipsticks & gloss last month…but I have plenty of gift w/purchase lipsticks from lancome, clinique, etc that I can try this with!
That's so clever…yep in these hard times, we must all learn how to be resourceful, good for the environment too!

This is fabulous! I was just cleaning out my makeup drawer trying to figure out what to do with unused lipsticks! Thanks. ๐
Great Idea! You can also put them back in the lip stick tube, I've melted it down and done that!
Ummmm this is the best idea ever! Love it.
what a great idea. the finished product looks pretty nice. Is it more or less the same colour tht you started with (the original colours)or completely different?

No, it is definitely a different color. The two I started with were a pale peach and a bright baby pink – the result was a perfect pinkish rose color! ๐
Wow!! This is such a wonderful idea!! have gotta try this one out… Thanks for posing!! ๐
OMG, this is such a wonderful idea! I have tons of lipstick that I dislike after using once and I do not know what to do with them except trash it would definitely give this a try…

Such a great idea! If I can never get the perfect color, I just put one on my top lip and one on my bottom and blend that way. I'll definitely have to try this one out sometime.

How freakin' great is this DIY?!? I feel like shopping for lipstick is a total gamble. 50% of the time I put it on and I'm like "WTF how is this X color?? uggh!" Now with this DIY I won't be forced to wear those not-so-great colors. Thanks!!

very cool
never thought to do something like this

This is awesome. Just as I clear my drawers and toss all the unwanted stuff…time to head back to wall greens.
Such a great idea to do the mixing! I often mix a bit of lipstick with coconut oil in a sample pot to make a tinted lip balm, but I love the idea of customizing the color!
