We’ve had pretty consistent rain for the past few days in New York and because I’m still recovering from my latest health relapse, we haven’t been able to get out & take outfit photos like we normally do. So, instead, I thought I would share with you some of my recent purchases, a couple gifted items + some fall outfit ideas! Read on for all the details…

RIGHT: Similar Cardigan (here or here) // BP Plaid Scarf // Chaps Faux Suede Leggings // Similar Boots
I wore this exact look for my day of meetings when I was in San Francisco and I love how the zipper detail gives this plaid skirt a modern feel. Unfortunately, there are only a few sizes left but I found some similar options here, here & here. You could also pair this with an ivory turtleneck sweater & knee-high suede boots to give it a more timeless feel.
After I came across this image on Pinterest, I went hunting for a pair of brown faux suede leggings. I tried this Old Navy pair but I didn’t love the seam running down the front of the leg. When I came across these, I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality & fit for the price – they feel like butter & are so flattering! They also come in black, but I had my heart set on this rich cognac hue. I went down one from my usual size because I was worried about them stretching out – however, after a couple wears, they’ve held their shape nicely with absolutely no sagging.

Vince Camuto Velvet Heels (similar) // Pearl Earrings
RIGHT: Bagatelle Faux Fur Vest // Similar Turtleneck
LOFT Leopard Skirt // Steve Madden Boots (similar for less here)
This combination is a great alternative to a dress for a holiday party or special event. The emerald green satin paired with the subtle jacquard print of these pants is even more stunning in person. Add a sparkly clutch, statement earrings + velvet heels and you are evening-ready! The pleated shoulder detail on this top gives it some added interest – you could also wear this with dark wash jeans or a tweed skirt. I found this to run true to size and it also comes in blush & navy. It can be really tricky to find culottes that are flattering, but the high waist on these makes them so slimming (I also appreciate that the pant leg isn’t too wide). I bought my usual size in these & they fit like a glove!
I’ve been searching for a black faux fur vest for the last two years and it seemed like every style I tried was either overly bulky or the texture was wrong. I like that this one is a shorter length, which makes it more versatile. Plus, it has a hidden drawstring on the inside so you can cinch in the waist to your liking AND it has pockets, which is a must for me! This would be great styled more casually with a crewneck sweater, plaid shirt & over-the-knee flat boots. I sized down in this and I still have plenty of room to layer as much as I want underneath.
LEFT: J. Crew Sweater (similar color; similar shape) // Similar Plaid Shirt
Vince Camuto Faux Leather Pants // Similar Flats
RIGHT: Forever 21 Teddy Jacket // GAP Turtleneck
Similar Jeans // A New Day Leopard Sneakers
I think I mentioned ordering & loving these pants in my last Macy’s post, so I wanted to show them to you! I went down one from my usual size so they would suck me in even more. I like that these are a pull-on style with an elastic waist (super comfy!) and that they look like & feel like real leather. I scored this sweater on a recent trip to GoodWill – it was only $5.99! I just love this color for fall & think it’s particularly ideal when paired with leopard print.
I’ll admit this fluffy jacket was a bit of an impulse purchase – I had a merchandise credit that I’ve been hanging onto for months so, on my last trip to the mall, I popped in quickly to see if I could finally spend it. I love the idea of teddy coats for fall/winter, but I’m not about to spend hundreds of dollars on one. So this was the perfect way to try out the trend for less. I went with my usual size small and I still have room to layer a sweater underneath – it’s such a fun statement piece and it’s really cozy & warm too!
I also picked up these leopard sneakers right before my trip last week and they were so comfortable for running around the city. I found these in my local store on clearance for $10, but they are showing as full-price online…so it might be worth checking your nearest location before placing an order.
LEFT: Old Navy Fleece Moto // Similar Sports Bra // Similar Leggings // Similar Sneakers
RIGHT: c/o RD Style Cardigan (more colors here & here) // Express Tee
Halogen Belt (similar for less here) // Similar Jeans // Similar Boots
Love this modern take on a classic fleece jacket! This is great for wearing over your workout clothes to the gym or layering over a tee with joggers for a cute athleisure look. As with all Old Navy pieces, I sized down (this also comes in black and is available in tall & petite too). It looks even cuter zipped up and, although it’s technically activewear, you could easily wear this with jeans & a tee for the weekend. A couple other comfortable pieces I bought (but haven’t arrived yet) are these seamless leggings & this sherpa pullover – I’m a big fan of this brand so I’m hoping these work out!
I received this cardigan in my latest StitchFix box and it was too good not to share! I am obsessed with the oversized collar – you can wear it open like a cardigan or buckled in front like a sweater coat. I honestly have just thrown it on with a white tee & joggers for lounging around the house too! It’s a bit spendy at full price, but their store has regular sales so you can wait for a promo & grab it for less. Side note: if you’ve never tried StitchFix before, you can view all of my unboxings in my Instagram Story highlight labeled “Try-Ons” – hopefully this will help give you an idea of how their service works and what you can expect to receive.
