Fresh Summer Beauty

Summer is the time to lighten up with your beauty routine & not only pare down the number of products you use, but also switch to lighter options so you can achieve a fresh & pretty look.  One thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older is that hydrated skin = youthful-looking skin, so I’ve made an effort to seek out brands with moisturizing formulas. It’s actually better to embrace a little shine than to attempt a matte finish (which can be drying to the skin) because it gives you a healthy natural glow. If you have particularly oily skin, I recommend applying a little translucent powder just to the areas where you need it most.

In the warm weather months, I opt for a light coverage foundation, cream blush, liquid highlighter & a tinted balm or lip stain.  These are really all you need to cover minor imperfections & enhance your natural beauty (I also use a bit of this concealer & add a coat of this mascara to my lashes).
