I received a note from a reader earlier this week asking how to pull off floral prints for spring. So I decided to answer by creating a post around this sometimes-tricky trend. My best advice is to choose a print that looks modern & fresh – I’ve found that softer pastels or smaller florals work best. Once you’ve found a piece that you love, pair it with classic items so you aren’t over-working the look. If you’re still unsure, you can ease into it with a fun accessory. Here are some styling suggestions & my favorite affordable picks:
5) Mudd Skinny Boyfriend Jeans // 6) d.RA Blouse //7) BCBGeneration Satchel // 8) Chinese Laundry Pumps
9) H&M Pants
5) Tinley Road Earrings // 6) ASOS Heels // 7) Monet Crystal Necklace

What a wonderful post. I've always loved romantic, feminine clothing, so I've always been drawn to floral prints. I am so in love with the Madewell hat and the ASOS heels!
I like both combinations. I'm definitely a fan of prints.

What I would do for HM to sell online! I love that Forever 21 blouse, and those ASOS heels at the bottom; of course I probably find the priciest item.

Thanks so much for this! I was just at TJMaxx yesterday looking at floral jeans but they felt so 80's to me, but the 2 you showed here do not have that feel, so it is possible to pull off the look in a fresh way! Thanks!
I love the work look and I don't even have to dress up for my job! So cute.

Love floral print, I wish we had a bigger choice of floral maternity items:))
I've stayed away from floral so far. My husband has always said floral prints remind him of old lady's curtains! But I think I could go for those asos heels…they could never be interpreted as old lady-ish! I was looking for the winner of Give Jewelry, don't see it but I HOPE it's me 🙂
I'm hoping to add some more floral to my wardrobe this season 🙂
I used to shy away from florals, but blogs like yours and others gave me the big to wear them! Now I loveee! These are some great choices Kimberly!
