I was so thrilled when I received an email a few weeks ago letting me know that I’d be receiving another Glossybox! In case you missed my previous reviews, you can read them here and here. I’ve been so impressed with the packaging & quality of the products from the last two months that I couldn’t wait to open this one. Here’s what I received:
vBEAUTÉ Lite Up, Buying Time & Eye Never
What it says: Give your face the treatment it deserves with this skin care trio including face serum, cream and eye gel.
My review: I’ve mentioned before about my fear of trying new skin care products due to my sensitive skin…so I didn’t try the cream. The serum felt light & wasn’t overly rich for my skin and I just ran out of the eye cream from the last box, so I’ll be using this one now – also liked that these were paraben and fragrance-free.
Wella Professionals Enrich Moisturizing Treatment
What it says: Create free flowing hair with this lightweight treatment containing silk extract that instantly restores your mane.
My review: This had a nice clean smell and definitely lived up to its promise – my hair felt smooth & significantly softer after just one use. Probably wouldn’t need it everyday, but would be a great deep conditioning treatment!
AHAVA Mineral Botanic Hibiscus & Fig Velvet Cream Wash
What it says: Formulated with rejuvenating Dead Sea minerals and soothing natural moisturizers, this velvety cream wash gives an extra hydration-booth with a sweet uplifting scent.
My review: This smelled almost good enough to eat and I loved that it is for sensitve skin, isn’t tested on animals and is paraben & petroleum-free! Would definitely buy the full-size bottle (17 oz for $22).
First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream
What it says: Smooth Shave Cream is a gentle, non-irritating formula containing everything you need to obtain a close, long-lasting shave. Keep your legs looking smooth and sexy all summer long.
My review: This had no scent to it at all, but did leave my skin feeling soft afterwards thanks to the coconut oil. I definitely preferred this to the Dove body wash I currently use and will seriously consider buying the full size once it runs out.
OFRA Cosmetics Eye Shadow ICE
What it says: Dab on this primer infused, color intensive, creamy eye shadow and stand out in any crowd. Remain beautiful for your long summer adventures.
My review: Basically a cream eyeshadow in a convenient lip-gloss-type squeeze tube, but the color was jet black. It was overwhelming when I first put it on but if you used a small amount and applied it lightly, it could be nice for a subtle smoky eye. Plus, the formula was long-lasting and stayed put all day.
A Perfume Organic Urban Organic Scent
What it says: Take a walk in the park with this delicious daytime fragrance. The combination of lavender and grapefruit makes for a fresh and citric scent.
My review: I am super-picky about perfumes and I could smell this as soon as I opened the box. Unfortunately, it was way too sweet for me.
* This box also included the first GlossyMag (as seen in the first picture above): a well put-together trend guide with beauty & wellness tips for summer and product recommendations.
So far I have to say that every Glossybox I’ve received has been well-worth the monthly subscription cost (though they have been gifted to me, all reviews are my honest opinion & I was not paid for this post). I just love getting to test out new products and I actually like that they come in smaller sizes because these samples are perfect for taking with me when I travel. I think that shave cream looks great! I used to use a shave cream from a bath line called Fabulous Bath and haven't been able find anything that I loved since they stopped selling that line. This shave cream looks perfect!

I have tried to sign up twice…both times they tell me the box is gone for that month but to sign up for email notification, but I never get a notification or any correspondence! I'm bummed!! It's so fun!
How fun! I have heard of Birchbox but I've never heard of this one!
How fun, this Gloss Box seems like a great thing to try out over a rainy weekend. I may be looking up that shave creme, I have been looking for something that doesnt have a strong scent since I uses scented soaps/gels in the bath/shower – I dont like mix and matching fragrances, it gives me a headache!
Thanks for this awesome review!

Thanks so much for your honesty with these products. As both a blog lover and someone who works in PR I struggle reading blogs that don't speak honestly about products. I totally respect that you told it like it was 🙂
What a great box!!!! I should sign up!

All sound like lovely products, minus the overly sweet perfume! I'd be interested mostly in that shaving cream because I LOVE coconut oil so much, it does wonders for skin and hair!
