As a busy working mom to two little boys, I am super particular about my footwear. The shoes I reach for the most are comfortable, practical, and easy to wear. In this Kizik shoes review, I’m sharing what you need to know about these slip on shoes and if they are worth it. If you are considering adding these to your wardrobe, I hope this post is helpful!

Several mom influencers I follow on Instagram partner with Kizik to share these shoes and the benefits of them so after about 50,000 ads, I had to try them for myself! To provide my unbiased opinion, this review is completely unsponsored and I paid for these shoes myself.
So are they worth the price? How comfortable are they, really? Do they wash well? I’m here to answer all of your questions on the viral Kizik footwear based on my experience.

Kizik Shoes Overview
Kizik (pronounced kiz-ick) shoes are known for their innovative design and technology that allows for sneakers to be put on with minimal effort. The mundane task of shoe tying is gone when you step inside of this footwear. Check out the Kizik story here.
What sets Kizik apart from other slip on shoes is the heel design. This patented technology utilizes a compression style heel that sinks down as you slide your foot in and then rebounds back into an upright position as soon as your foot is secured within the shoe. You literally do not need to touch the shoes to put them on! Other slip on brands I have tried require you to hold on or adjust the heel into place. Kizik’s are not like that! Step in and go!
The brand offers men’s, women’s, and kid’s footwear plus accessories such as socks and shoe care kits. From athletic sneakers to versatile, wear with everything white tennis shoes, Kizik gives you options!
Kizik shoes come in a variety of materials, from mesh to water resistant. I have the mesh style and love how comfortable they are! They are also very easy to wash.
The Kizik Shoes I Wear
For this review, I will be sharing my experience with the women’s Roamer in color Sand. I wear this shoe as a walking sneaker and also with casual everyday outfits. These are a must have when you have your hands full and cannot bend over to tie your shoes.
As of writing this post, this shoe was available in 12 colors. While I gravitate toward neutral colors, I do love the bold colors that Kizik offers. They are colorful without being over the top and flashy. There is something for a wide range of clothing styles.
The Sand color is a very light beige and hides minor dirt and marks very well. It also goes with everything! I own mesh style sneakers in bright white from another brand and they became too high maintenance for my needs as dirt showed very easily, therefore I was excited for this color!

Kizik Shoes Review: The Roamer
I can’t lie, I was skeptical of this brand at first. As a mom of two littles, getting my own shoes on while rushing out the door has been a major pain point. It is a simple task, but when you are juggling several items, both physically and mentally, it is honestly annoying. Kizik’s seemed too good to be true.
After trying the Roamer, I can honestly say these shoes are great! They are beyond easy to get on (thank you, Kizik), look great, and are comfortable. The Roamer is lightweight and easy to care for as well.
It is important to note, these sneakers also have functioning shoe laces! When they arrived they felt wide on my foot, but after adjusting the laces to be tighter, they felt great. I am not certain whether all styles have functioning laces, so this may be something to keep in mind as you shop!
Another thing, I would personally recommend breaking in the shoes before wearing for an extended time. I made the mistake of wearing them straight away to the zoo without breaking them in. Big mistake. My feet were sore after our 4 hour trek around the zoo! I would definitely break in my next pair first! oops!

As of writing this post, Kizik’s site states it will accept returns of original condition shoes within 30 days of the order date. Customers must be aware that returns cannot be made if the shoes have been worn outside! If you need to try breaking them in, do so inside!

My Final Thoughts
Are Kizik shoes worth it? Yes. As you can tell from my review above, I think these are wonderful shoes. I look forward to trying other styles to see how they compare.
I can see these shoes being a game changer for busy moms, caretakers, elderly, and those with physical limitations. Not having to bend over to put sneakers on is something I never knew I needed, until I had it with my Kiziks!
My only setback with my Kizik shoes were the fact that they needed to be broken in. I rarely need to break in sneakers, personally, so I was not expecting to experience this. It is something I will remember for my next Kizik purchase and it may be different for you.
While these shoes are top tier for functionality and practicality, I want to also point out again how CUTE these sneakers are. They are modern, versatile, and I get so many compliments when I wear them.

I honestly love the idea of this slip on shoe for travel. If you do not have pre-check, these are a must have travel shoe! Why? These make going through security so much easier because it reduces the time it takes to remove and put on shoes. I don’t know about you, but going through security is always stressful and I get flustered trying to put my shoes back on while making sure I have gather up my belongings. Being able to just slip on my shoes and go will be a game changer!
