One of the items that I’ve had on my wardrobe wish list for a while is a linen boyfriend blazer. I love the idea of using this as an added layer during the spring & summer, so I was thrilled to find this one at such a great price. Many of the other styles I’ve tried on have been too boxy or structured, but this one strikes just the right balance & is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn’t decide between the two colors, so I’m showing you two different ways to style them both today!
Unlike the tailored blazers you would wear to the office, a boyfriend blazer is ideal for pairing with more casual separates. When it comes to styling this classic piece, you can really treat it the same as a cardigan or utility jacket – layer it over a basic tee, fitted tank, silky camisole or bodysuit. It also looks just as chic when you button it in front, which gives it a more polished vibe.
I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of jeans – these have been sold out forever, but they just restocked them & they’re on sale now! I can’t say enough about how comfortable & flattering these are. I own them in multiple different washes (I wear this lighter pair all the time too!) – I find them to run true to size.
I couldn’t believe how perfectly this blazer matched these shorts, even though they are from different stores! I paired them together to create the look of a short suit & kept everything else in a neutral palette to complement the sophisticated feel.
I love wearing linen in the summer because there’s nothing more lightweight & breathable. I don’t even mind the wrinkling that occurs when you’re wearing linen because I think that just adds to the laid-back vibe. If you’re looking to add more of this seasonal textile into your wardrobe, I’ve included some great options in the scrolling bar below!
