My Honest Opinion: Quince Clothing Review of Cashmere Sweater, Silk Skirt, and Pants

Here’s the thing, I have been wearing Quince clothing for several years and you have probably seen some of their pieces on this blog. However, it would not be fair to keep my full and honest review to myself. In this post, I share not only my favorite Quince items but also provide my honest review and answer some FAQs for you!

As an affordable fashion blogger with a love for timeless fashion, Quince is a brand I simply had to try. I was hooked on the $50 CASHMERE sweater and then I found the elastic waist PURE SILK skirt for about $60! Honestly, it felt too good to be true. At the time, Quince was a new-ish brand and nobody was talking about it, therefore I was skeptical.

Today, it is clear Quince has become popular. Items sell out regularly and their clothing is all over the social media scene. 

As with all of my reviews, this Quince clothing review is not sponsored by the brand. My goal is to share my unbiased opinion based on items from my personal wardrobe.

In this review, I’ll also share a little bit about Quince, how to shop on the site, what product reviews are like, shipping info, and more. 

What is Quince?

Quince is a clothing, jewelry, and home goods brand that offers quality, sustainable, and affordable items. As stated on Quince’s website, their mission has always been to create products of equal or better quality at a lower price. This is a company that values transparency and will often break down the costs items, the materials used in production, and factory information.

To cut costs and help keep prices low for customers, Quince using a direct factory to customer supply chain model to eliminate costs that are incurred in a traditional supply chain model.

It is safe to say they put a lot of focus on timeless items that are comparable in style to other high-end brands. Many of their items are things I would consider to be timeless and great investment pieces.

Is Quince Clothing Affordable?

Honestly, the answer to this question will vary from person to person but I will answer as it applies to me. Quince clothing is not cheap by any means and I do consider their pieces to be moderately priced. I could grab similar pieces (of less quality) somewhere else online for less money, however I do believe that with Quince you get a lot for your money. Their clothing materials are top tier and I have not been able to match the quality for the price with any other brand.

In fact, many of the items I own from Quince are similar to pieces I had my eye on at other retailers. Quince’s prices were too good to pass and the items are comparable in look and composition to the other name brands I was watching. Therefore, for me, I would consider Quince reasonably priced.

Quince Review: My Experience with the Online Site

Overall, I was pleased with the online site. It was easy to navigate and find what I was looking for.

If you recall from my TEMU review, searching on some of the viral sites can be frustrating. But I didn’t experience this with Quince at all. They do not have a massive product selection, which I love because search results are concise.

Searching for specific items is very easy.

The search bar was located on the top and easy to find.

Relevant items were returned with each search I did. As you’ll recall from my past reviews, other sites don’t always produce relevant search results.

What are the Quince Clothing Reviews Like?

I said it before, I will say it again. Product reviews make or break it for me! I mean, who doesn’t rely on them these days?

The product reviews on Quince clothing were very helpful for me in making my purchase decisions. I am between sizes and love when I can easily see whether a product runs true to size or not. From my experience, the reviews had a star rating in addition to commentary by customers, which I appreciate.

As you can see, right away you get an idea for how the product fits based on customer feedback. 

Many of the viral products had several images provided by customers, another win in my opinion! In addition to images, the written reviews were very helpful.

When shopping online for clothing, I personally prefer to read detailed customer reviews, especially those with provided customer height and weight, to get an idea if the product will be a good fit for me. Unlike other sites where customers leave very little feedback, Quince had many thorough and reliable reviews.

What I Bought from Quince and My Initial Impressions

For this review I will share four items. Cashmere and silk were obvious choices for me. In addition, I will share a knit blazer that gives J.Crew vibes and wide leg ponte pants.

Here’s what I got:

3. Ultra-Stretch Ponte Super Wide Leg Pants
4. 100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer

Overall, my first impression of the Quince clothing items were great. Upon opening, I really liked the feel of the fabric and the overall appearance of the items. The packaging was really good as well! Below is my detailed review of each item.

For reference, I am just shy of 5’6″ and about 130 pounds. Typically a size S/M in tops and 4/27/M in pants. As of writing this post, I am about 10 months post partum.

Quince Clothing Review: Mongolian Cashmere Sweater

This was my first ever product from Quince and I will never forget when I received it in the mail. Straight out of the bag it looked like a very expensive piece.

This is a true cashmere sweater. I wish you could feel the softness through your screen! It is a standard crew neck sweater and the length hits at my hips. I can wear this tucked or untucked without issue. For this sweater, I opted for the color Heather Gray and find it to be the perfect three-season sweater for me. I can layer it under jackets comfortable or wear it alone.

SIZING: I ordered a size medium and love the fit. I could have done a small for a fitted look, but the sleeves might be too short. I would say it runs true to size. For washing this sweater, I hand wash and lay flat to dry! Quince provides care instructions for each of the clothing items within this review. YAY! Below are a few different angles of this sweater.

 

Look at the product details below from Quince’s website for this Quince cashmere sweater. THAT is transparency, in my opinion! I really do love to see the price comparison. This is a great reminder of the value you get in exchange for the price.

I would 100% recommend this sweater to a friend! The price simply cannot be beat. It comes in a lot of great colors too!

Quince Clothing Review: Washable Silk Skirt

Don’t get me wrong, the fact that this is a washable silk is phenomenal, however I was sold at the hidden elastic waist band! First impression, the skirt was good and arrived as expected without any flaws. 

This skirt is one of their best sellers. It ended up being so good, I bought a second color! That’s right. I own this skirt in black and champagne! This is a great wardrobe staple and I include it in many of the seasonal capsule wardrobes featured on this blog. The champagne is a gorgeous color for Spring and Summer particularly!

SIZING: I normally order a medium in bottoms because I’m in between sizes. However, I went with a small in this skirt and am so glad I did. I originally purchased before I was pregnant. Now that I am 10 months post partum, the skirt still fits. I believe this is all thanks to the ELASTIC waist. Simply gorgeous and currently available up to size 3x!

I would recommend this skirt to anyone. 10/10 for me. Dress it up or dress it down!

 

Quince Clothing Review: Wide Leg Ponte Pants

Wide leg pants have been something I reach for the most this year. When I saw quince offered a wide leg ponte pant in this gorgeous off-white color, I grabbed them immediately! 

Some reviewers on Quince claim these are great alternative to a similar style offered by Ripley Rader, at a price just shy of $200. The Quince version is $50!

Speaking of reviews, women are RAVING about these pants. I saw maybe one bad review for this product. Several women commented having these in multiple colors. If I worked in an office I would definitely grab these in all the colors!

The material is thick and the shape of these pants is very flattering, but I have one issue. I will probably have to wear some kind of shapewear with these. Part of the issue is because they are a very light color, and we all know lighter shades are not as forgiving as black! I tried these on with my favorite Vince Camuto panties and could still see faint lines. It was not terrible though, I am still obsessed with these pants!

Like I said, the fit is incredible. They have a zipper closure AND an elastic waist. Therefore, they are super comfortable and not restricting. No pockets on these, which gives a sleek and polished vibe

SIZING: I went ahead and ordered a medium in these pants after reading a review of a woman with similar body shape to my own. I am glad I did, the fit is perfect. Also, these pants are available in two inseam lengths, I went with the longer one (I’m just shy of 5’6″) but probably could have done the shorter length. I plan on dressing these down a lot with sneakers but with the longer length, I am able to wear heels comfortably.

Quince Clothing Review: Knit Blazer

A classic knit blazer is a timeless piece and I had my eye on one at another retailer for almost a year, however I could not bring myself to spend over $150 on it. Therefore, I eventually ended up at Quince and saw they have a nearly identical on for a FRACTION of the cost of the name brand sweater blazer I wanted. This was a no brainer.

There is so much to love about this 100% organic cotton blazer. It is not stiff nor restricting at all. You feel as if you are wearing a cozy blanket, but it looks so chic. The blazer is soft and easy to wear as a layer over many different top styles. 

SIZING: I ordered a size small and am very pleased with the fit. In my opinion, it runs slightly oversized so if in between sizes (like me) size down. Even with a small, I have plenty of room to layer the blazer over bulky tops. Below is a close up of the texture… dreamy!

 

Down below is an image from Quince’s website that provides more material information and price comparison. These price comparisons are always an eye opener for me. Not only is this a sustainably made product, but the price is so good. I personally consider $80 an investment piece, however I also know that an item like this will last for YEARS and I will get a lot of wear out of it.

Is Quince Fast Fashion?

No. I consider fast fashion brands to be those that are constantly producing the latest trending styles using cheap materials and coming up with new products drops multiple times per month. Quince clothing is not like that. I have been a customer for several years and many of the products they originally offered are still offered today, in addition to other wardrobe staples.

Shipping Time for My Quince Order

Shipping was very quick and my products arrived beautifully packaged.

With free standard shipping, all products, except those which are Made to Order, take about 6-9 business days to be delivered after the date the order is placed.

Most products are available for expedited shipping, for an extra charge, which estimates arrival in 3-5 business days after the order is placed.

Quince Review: My Final Verdict

Would I purchase from Quince again? The obvious answer is, YES! 1000%. It is difficult for me to think of any reason why I wouldn’t place another order with Quince. 

I feel like their products are such a good value considering the price, quality, style, return policy, free shipping, and more that you receive as a customer. 

In regards to the products themselves, yes the prices are amazing but it is the quality that will make me a repeat customer. It was after I got my hands on the cashmere sweater and silk skirt that I fell in love. The materials and quality are top tier in my opinion.

The return policy also made me feel as though my purchase was “worry free” because I had assurance that if I didn’t love the $50, it could be returned with ease. Because, let’s be honest $50 is still a lot of money and I have to love an item if I am paying that much for it!

What I Would Buy Next from Quince

One of everything! Ok, I won’t leave it at that but my list is long. I’ll share my short list of items that really have my attention at the moment.

The Italian leather handbags and bedding collections are items I would LOVE to experience. Here is what is on my Quince wish list.

While I do not need a leather jacket, this Quince jacket is real leather and currently $150! Other retailers, this will cost you well over $500!

How are prices so low?

Per Quince’s website: “We have reimagined the traditional direct-to-consumer model in order to minimize waste and cost. We also endeavor to minimize packaging and corporate overheads while not compromising on quality or customer experience.”

Does Quince have free shipping?

Yes, as of writing this post Quince offers free standard shipping within the USA! This is subject to change at any time. Honestly, this is a huge win for me because other brands similar to Quince do not offer free shipping and I find that to play into my purchasing decisions.

What is Quince’s return policy?

Quince has a fantastic return policy that allows items to be returned within 365 days, provided specific requirements outlined in the return policy are met.

Where is Quince clothing located?

Quince has a global footprint of manufacturing facilities. There are not any physical retail locations.

Is Quince a trustworthy brand?
