I’ve been pretty lax with my workouts lately and have been having a hard time finding motivation to hit the gym. I’m thinking a new program is just the kick start I need to shake up my routine a little bit, so I’ve been doing some research on BBG. I’ve seen a few other bloggers who’ve started the program & loved it. The steps seem very easy to follow & I like that I can do everything at home. If you’ve done BBG or know someone who has, please share your feedback in the comments below…and let me know if you’d be interested in me doing my own review from the program here on the blog!
In the summer months, I try to pare down my beauty routine as much as possible For me, this means wearing my favorite CC cream, one coat of mascara & some liquid blush. I was happy to discover this new lip balm – it moisturizes with a blend of organic oils, is paraben, phthalate & sulfate-free, provides SPF 30 protection + gives lips a sheer wash of color that’s perfect for summer. It comes in 6 different shades, but I ordered Summer Crush (a soft rosy pink) & Firecracker (a deep berry). Other products I can’t live without are this plant-based insect repellant & this natural mineral sunscreen.
At the end of this month, my husband & I will celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. It seems almost surreal when I think about how long we’ve been together (we met when I was just 14 years old!). As we near this milestone, I can’t help but look back on everything we’ve gone through: two out-of-state moves, four job lay-offs, multiple surgeries (all mine) and the loss of several loved ones (including his father). But, through it all, we have clung to each other, given grace & forgiveness when it was needed and we’ve never stopped working to make our marriage better. Whether you’re engaged or married, this article is an excellent read about how to create a healthy relationship that will stand the test of time.
I have been working for months on a secret project & I’m so excited to finally be able to share a sneak peek with you today! In mid-July, I will be launching my own jewelry collection and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out (this rose quartz necklace was one of the first pieces to be finished). I have poured my heart & soul into this line and labored over the designs until they were exactly what I wanted. I am so grateful for this incredible opportunity & I’m hopeful that this is just the first of many collections to come. I’ll be sharing more photos & further details next week, so stay tuned!
I love feminine blouses with special details that can instantly dress up jeans or shorts – especially this time of year, when it’s too warm to add interest with layers. This one has such a pretty print & easy shape that’s ideal for summer (more sizes available here & here) – a few more tops I’m adding to my wish list include this silk coral blouse, this striped peplum & this lace top.
I’ve been eyeing these metallic sandals for a while, so as soon as they went on sale, I quickly scooped them up. I love the modern lace-up design and the gold finish is ideal for pairing with casual day dresses or maxi skirts. I am usually a 9.5 in flats & sandals, but I ordered these in a 10 and they fit perfectly. Other affordable metallic sandals I’m loving are these scalloped heels, these flat espadrilles & these gladiator sandals.
