It’s been a while since I’ve shared my Amazon finds with you & I know how much you all enjoy seeing these posts! So, today I’m highlighting all the things I’ve bought (and kept) from Amazon over the last couple months. There’s a good mix of household items, home decor, gadgets, fitness gear & clothing. I’d love to hear if you prefer a mixed collage like this or if you’d rather see just fashion/beauty – please share in the comments below!
Cast Iron Pan Cleaner
Because anemia is an issue for me, I try to cook in my cast iron pan as much as possible. The downside to this is that these don’t always clean up as easily as traditional non-stick cookware. This stainless steel scouring pad is specifically designed to clean cast iron without scratching (you can also use it on Dutch ovens, pizza stones, griddles & woks) and it’s so much quicker & easier than the salt scrubbing method I was using before.
Tiered Cooling Rack
In anticipation of all the holiday baking we’ll be doing in the near future, I ordered this cooling rack. I don’t have a lot of counter space in my kitchen, so this is a game-changer for me!
Pet Hair Removing Broom
Having both a dog & cat in our house, pet hair is a constant issue. We do our best to stay on top of vacuuming on a regular basis, but since we discovered this tool, it’s made it so much easier. I just run this across the carpet & area rugs before I vacuum and it removes nearly all of the pet hair so the filter on our vacuum doesn’t get clogged as quickly/easily.
Silicone Baking Mats
These are a kitchen essential for me – I previously only had one that I was constantly washing, so I stocked up on these because they’re such a great price (they come in a pack of two, three or four). Note: some of the reviews mention that they don’t hold up well over 400 degrees, so keep that in mind.
Closet Odor Absorber
Since my son has entered the pre-teen phase and started playing soccer this year, I noticed his room needed some type of deodorizer. I bought one of these to stick in his closet & it worked so well that I ordered more for my daughter’s closet, the basement storage room & one for our camping trailer.
Slanted Tweezers
When I was traveling this summer, I lost my Tweezerman tweezers in one of the hotels we stayed in. So I ordered these as a replacement and they are just as good. They don’t have the free sharpening that Tweezerman offers, but they are more affordable!
Textured Throw Pillow Cover
I don’t know why it’s never occured to me to look for home decor items on Amazon, but I recently discovered some really great finds! This tasseled throw pillow cover looks so luxe in person & works perfectly with my mostly neutral decor – I got the 18″ square, but it also comes in a 20″ square & a lumbar version.
Slim Storage Cart
We don’t have a designated “laundry room” in our house – ours is on the upper level & tucked inside a small closet area, so space is extremely limited. I had my husband install shelves above the washer/dryer, but I was still needing more space to store detergent & cleaning supplies. This slim cart fits perfectly between my washer & dryer and slides out easily as needed.
Buffalo Plaid Outdoor Rug
I love the idea of layered front door mats so I decided to try it out this year. We have a fairly wide front porch area, so I ordered this larger checked rug to lay down first & then I layered this one on top. With my stacked pumpkins & mums on either side, it has given our porch such a festive, welcoming look for fall!
Sweater Shaver
Truth be told, this isn’t a recent purchase of mine because I’ve owned it for several years. But, I wanted to include it here because it’s one of my must-have tools for the fall/winter months – it will make your older sweaters look brand new again & it’s gentle enough to use on fine knits & cashmere. If you don’t already have one, order this & thank me later!
Divider Tab Sticky Notes
I actually ordered these for my daughter for school, but she didn’t need all of them & I quickly realized how handy they were for using in my own planner. I’ve since ordered more to use in my cookbooks for flagging recipes I want to make again (I write out any substitutions or changes I made to it, so I can reference for next time).
Wool Fedora
As much as I love this style of hat on other people, I’ve never been able to find one that looked good on me…until now. This wool-blend fedora fits perfectly & looks much more expensive than the $15 price tag (plus it comes in dozens of color options that are all great for fall!).
Bluetooth Car Charger
My husband said I had to include this in my round-up because he loves it so much. This is more than just your standard car charger – it has BlueTooth built-in for music streaming & hands-free calling and it also has a car locator feature (which has come in handy several times). Because one of our cars is quite old (from 2002), this has been a game-changer for us on long road trips!
Magnetic Garage Door Accents
This might be the most random purchase I’ve made, but I love how it’s given our house instant curb-appeal. These garage door accents are magnetic, but they look like the real thing! It’s much cheaper than getting a brand new garage door + they stay in place and hold up great in all kinds of weather.
Workout Leggings
This brand of workout leggings have a cult following for a reason – they are so soft & stretchy and are such a great price for activewear! I fell in love with this cool pattern, but they come in 25 other prints/colors. I found them to run true to size (there’s a size chart in the listing that is helpful), but if you’re unsure, I would recommend sizing down as they do stretch a little as you move around in them.
In general, I think clothing can be pretty hit or miss on Amazon because there are so many third party sellers from overseas and sizing/quality is all over the place. While there are a few exceptions, I’ve found that I have the best luck when I stick with brands I’m already familiar with or Amazon brands like Goodthreads (this sweater is a recent fave), Amazon Essentials (so many of you bought this sweatshirt last time I shared it), Daily/Ritual (just ordered this dress) and Lark & Ro (how chic is this puffer jacket?!).
Adjustable Ankle Weights
I spend a good portion of each day walking the dog, so on those days when I can’t get a full workout in, I add on these ankle weights during our hikes & I really notice a difference – the first time I used them, my legs were so sore! You can adjust the weight by adding or removing the sand pouches and the velcro is really strong so they stay put. I even put them on my arms during Zumba one day & it was a great challenge!
Diffuser Humidifier
We already have a diffuser on the main level of our house, but my daughter requested one specifically for her room so she can turn it on while she’s studying – did you know that peppermint oil helps you stay alert & increases concentration?! This one is a diffuser/humidifier hybrid & I like that it has a large water tank, 4 different timers & an auto safety shut-off – it’s the perfect size for her room & she can take it with her when she goes to college.
Zero Waste Cap
I’m one of those people who will cut a lotion bottle in half to make sure I get every last drop, so I think whoever invented this is a genius. Just remove the pump from your bottle, attach this cap, flip the bottle over and you get all of the remaining product with ease!
Spiral Hair Ties
If you haven’t tried these yet, they are truly the best for keeping your hair in place without leaving that annoying crease that most rubber bands create. At first I was afraid my strands would get stuck in the coils and it would pull my hair out, but that doesn’t happen at all. If they get stretched out over time, simply toss into a cup of hot water & they will shrink back to their original shape. I bought the clear style, but there are more color options here.
Striped Pajamas
These are the softest & most comfortable pj’s ever! I followed the chart provided to determine which size to order and, as soon as they arrived, my daughter begged me to get her a pair too. If you live somewhere that is cold already, there is a similar solid long-sleeve top/pant set here & a cute plaid set here.
