Today I’m sharing some recent purchases of mine that are all on sale now! Rather than just create a collage with links, I thought it might be more helpful to build actual outfits to give you some styling ideas for each piece. It’s been so cold here in NY & I’m just getting over being sick, so taking photos outside hasn’t really been an option for me lately…so these mirror shots will have to do!
I always recommend taking some time to build outfits from your closet when you make a new purchase, so you have an idea of how much wear you will get out of it & how many things you already own that will pair with it. I personally find that taking photos of outfits that I love is helpful too – particularly on those days when you feel like you have nothing to wear. You can just pull up your “outfit catalog” on your phone and quickly find something that you know you’ll feel great in! Here are 2 weeks worth of looks that I built:
MADEWELL WESTGATE SWEATER
Even though mustard is usually thought of as a fall hue, I think you can wear it all winter long and even into the spring! This is the softest, coziest knit and it has a subtle puff/pleated detail on the shoulders, which gives it a slightly feminine feel. It’s currently on sale + an extra 40% off with code REALDEAL, making it just $26.99! I went down a size in this & the fit is just right.

J. CREW BOILED WOOL PEACOAT
I actually found this on clearance at Nordstrom Rack – only my size was left, so clearly it was meant to be! I love the idea of an ivory coat that you can wear from winter to spring – even though this is wool, it isn’t itchy at all and the peacoat silhouette is so timeless. This is unlined, so I would say it’s a medium weight, which is perfect for transitioning into warmer weather. It’s on sale now + an extra 30% off with code SHOPNOW (limited sizes left!). I got my usual size so I would have room to layer sweaters underneath – if you prefer a more fitted look, I recommend sizing down.

a.n.a Jeans (this year’s version here),
Sam Edelman Loafers (25% off w/ code WINTER25; similar for less here)

MADEWELL DASHWOOD SWEATER
I’ve owned this bobble sweater since last winter so I was thrilled to see that they brought it back again this year. It’s one of my favorites because it adds a fun dose of texture to any look & I love the balloon sleeves. This is still available in all sizes and it’s on sale now + an extra 30% off with code REALDEAL, making it $45! I recommend sizing down as this has a slouchy, somewhat generous fit.

Gap Jeans (similar), Express Mules

Louise et Cie Mules (also here; more colors here),

POPSUGAR PUFF SLEEVE SWEATER
I’ve been finding so many cute pieces at Kohl’s lately & this puff sleeve sweater is a current favorite! The shorter sleeves make it such a great transitional style – this also comes in pale yellow, soft rose & light blue…all pretty options for spring! It’s an extra 15% off right now when you use code FROSTY15, making it just $21! I recommend sizing down in this.

MANGO CROP FLARE JEANS
I completely understand that these might not be for everyone, but I think they are such a cool change from my regular denim. To be honest, they look more orange in these photos than they do in person – they’re more of a brownish tan in real life. I’m a big fan of the crop flare silhouette for spring because it works so well with mules, sneakers or flats (side note: these leopard flats are amazing! I went down 1/2 a size and it only took a day of wear to break them in). If you’re not feeling this colored denim, these also come in a classic blue wash & they’re on sale now for $29.99! I found these jeans to run true to size.

RIGHT: Mango Jacket (similar here or here), LOFT Top (similar),
Mango Jeans, J. Crew Factory Leopard Flats
ALFANI SEQUIN TOP
I actually bought this blouse before Christmas & never got a chance to share it with you before the holidays! This is everything I want in a sequin garment – not too shiny, slouchy with the perfect amount of drape & not itchy at all! It was so hard to capture the beauty of this in a photo, but it’s really stunning the way it catches & reflects the light. It’s such a fun option for date night, Valentine’s Day, girls’ night or buy it now & save it for next NYE! This also comes in black, but I personally prefer this champagne color – the retail price was $99, but it’s currently on clearance for under $25! I went down a size as it has a loose, swingy fit.

RIGHT: Alfani Sequin Top, H&M Faux Leather Skirt, Steve Madden Boots (similar here or here)
ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CABLE KNIT SWEATER
Everyone needs a classic ivory cable knit sweater & this one is such a great price! It’s a soft, chunky knit that’s really warm + there are subtle balloon sleeves. This sweater also comes in mustard, rust, gray & navy and it’s currently on clearance for $20! Obviously, you can layer this a million different ways, but I thought I’d show you a polished look for work & a casual pairing that’s perfect for a rainy day (side note: I’ve owned these glossy rain boots since last year and I wear them ALL THE TIME – they are so comfortable and are great for getting through the puddles & slush that we have this time of year). I’d say this sweater is true to size – I’d recommend sizing down if you like a slimmer fit.
