I recently picked up a few new pieces for spring and since all of them are now on sale, I decided now was the perfect time to share! You’ll have to forgive me for these photos – I’m still trying to determine the best place in this house for outfit shots and the lighting just happened to be the best in my daughter’s room, but it’s not the most neutral backdrop (sorry about that!). Read on to see how I styled my purchases into easy outfits I can wear both now & later…
This oatmeal puff-sleeve sweater is one I bought back in the winter and it’s now on clearance for just $23! It is a super soft knit blend with a fitted shape and slightly cropped length – ideal for pairing with high rise denim & skirts. This brand does run a bit small, so I recommend sizing up one from your usual size (which is what I did).
This double-breasted blazer is a must-have for spring & summer – I can’t say enough good things about it! I’m honestly tempted to order the other colors too because it’s just that good. You’ll definitely want to size down in this as it has a roomy oversized fit. Layer this wardrobe workhorse over a graphic tee & jeans, a silky cami & shorts, a fitted tank dress or jumpsuit – the possibilities are endless! I was actually thinking about doing a styling session with this piece & showing you all the different ways to wear it – let me know if you’d be interested in that for a future post!
I was so intrigued by this ribbed square neck top because I don’t have anything in my closet in this beigey hue. Although I think it will look a lot better on me once I have a bit of a tan, it’s a great neutral for pairing with earth tones and spring whites. I had to order this twice because my usual size was more snug than I was wanting – if you prefer a little breathing room too, I’d recommend sizing up in this one. If you’re not a fan of this color, this top also comes in black & white. It’s a great updated basic that you can pair with denim or shorts as we head into the warm weather months.
Two more great Target finds in this look + both of them are 20% off right now! This linen tee has such a nice drape to it and it isn’t sheer at all. I like that the sleeves are cuffed, which gives it a slightly more polished feel. This comes in several different colors and I sized down because it has a more boxy shape to it. I’ve been on the hunt for a short white skirt and the fit on this one is perfection! It has a paperbag style waist and you can remove the self-tie completely or use another belt you already own in its place. Even though it’s called a “mini”, I didn’t find it to be too short for me (I’m 5’8″ for reference). This one is true to size & has some nice stretch to it so it’s easy to move around in (unlike other denim skirts I own).
If you’re in the market for a utility jacket, this is one of the best I’ve found. I have a Madewell style from last year that’s a shorter length, but it’s a true olive – whereas this one is a softer blueish green, which I think is more flattering to my skintone. I went down a size and still have plenty of room to layer underneath. You can cinch the waist in on the inside with the adjustable ties and it has both a zipper and snaps up the front. Use codes 1DAY & FLASH to get it for 50% off (today only!). I really like that it’s long enough to wear with leggings (this coated pair is great dupe for the popular Spanx style, but be sure to size down in them). I layered it over this tee, which I bought in multiple colors – such a great basic & it’s an organic cotton blend!
This mockneck pullover was gifted to me and I absolutely love the color! It actually has thumbholes so it’s more of a casual sporty top that you can layer under a puffer vest or jacket for outdoor activities. It’s lightweight and unbelievably soft (I cut the bottom half off so it would have more of a cropped length and it’s perfect for front tucking into my jeans).
