When I saw Abbey
wearing a pair of ruffle-hem
trousers a few weeks ago, I
was instantly intrigued & wondered if I could pull them off.
Being slightly pear-shaped, great-fitting pants are notoriously hard
for me to find so I wasn’t convinced I’d have much success. But, I
decided to take a chance on this
printed pair and I was
pleasantly surprised! They’re really lightweight
& super comfortable because they aren’t too tight through the leg (these are a looser fit, so I recommend sizing down). What I
like about this style is that the ruffle is subtle, as
opposed to being a strong statement – I’ve included some less
overwhelming styles below that are great options for those who are
“ruffle-shy”.
Also, I finally tried the hair scarf trend & I love it – I think this will be my go-to style on those hot & humid summer days. This is a great solution for when you’re wanting to extend your blowout one extra day – spray a little dry shampoo at your roots, tie on a scarf & go! What worked best for me was first securing my hair with a clear elastic and then double-knotting the scarf on top so it stays put throughout the day. Another product I picked up recently that I love are these leather hair ties (vegan leather option here) – these are great for when you’re wearing your hair half-up or in a ponytail, but they also look chic secured at the end of a braid.
