Spring In My Step

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of JCPenney – they have really upped their fashion game over the last few years and I’ve found so many great pieces there for our entire family (my daughter loves the Arizona brand).  I’ve been a cardholder for a long time, but I recently signed up for their Rewards Program, where you earn points for every dollar you spend…which basically feels like you’re getting paid to shop.

Right now, they are having their Friends & Family sale (through March 26th), so it’s a great time to stock up for the season – you can get 25% off with any payment method or get 30% off when you use your JCPenney card with code 8FORYOU.  I picked up this striped top, this ruffled blouse & this cargo jacket is also a great price!  If you’re looking for denim cut-offs that aren’t too short, these are my favorite – I bought them in white before our Mexico trip & loved them so much that I went back & bought another pair in blue (I found that they run true to size).

Every woman needs a little lace dress for spring & I love that this one has 3/4-length sleeves, which makes it more versatile.  I paired it with casual pieces like a denim jacket & ankle-strap sandals, but you could easily dress it up with statements earrings & lace-up heels (a great option for Easter!).  More lace dresses to try include this bell-sleeve style, this scalloped-hem shift & this fit & flare.

What I’m wearing:
c/o Levi’s Denim Jacket, c/o Ronni Nicole Lace Dress (wearing size 4),
c/o Worthington Beckwith Pumps (also in red, black & nude),
c/o Liz Claiborne Elyse Crossbody Bag, c/o a.n.a Hoop Earrings

This look would be perfect for vacation – I’m wishing I had found these pants before Mexico because they are so lightweight & comfortable (anything with an elastic waist is a win in my book!).  The printed pattern gives them a chic laid-back vibe and the little ruffle detail on this sweater adds a feminine touch.  I can’t get over these scalloped wedges – they are a near-identical dupe to a much more expensive designer version and they literally go with everything.  I’d also wear these pants with a fitted tank, metallic flat sandals & straw hat – so great for a day at the beach!

What I’m wearing:
c/o Liz Claiborne Ruffle Sleeve Sweater (wearing Small), c/o by&by Palazzo Pants (wearing Small),
c/o CL by Laundry Brice Wedges, c/o Straw Studios Hyacinth Tote, c/o Bleu Tassel Hoop Earrings

Are we all still getting dressed up tomorrow night Are we all still getting dressed up tomorrow night even though we’re not going out?! (asking for a friend 😜)

Yesterday I was reading that a lot of the people in the fashion industry believe that once vaccinations happen & things open back up, there will be a resurgence of dressing up for no reason & parties & celebrations (like the roaring twenties). And I, for one, am 100% HERE FOR IT 🙌🏻

This satin midi dress is such a stunning option for NYE & well beyond - would you believe it’s under $35 right now?! Comes in 4 colors and is fully stocked in all sizes 🙌🏻 (link in profile) #expresspartner #expresslife #expressyou #ssclooks #lookschallenge #contributingeditor

Even though we may not have a white Christmas, I’m still embracing soft neutrals & wintery patterns like this fair isle sweater - now under $50 + ships for free 🙌🏻 (link in profile) #GoUpWest #UpWestPartner #winterneutrals
Today you turn 17 and I can hardly believe the bea Today you turn 17 and I can hardly believe the beautiful young woman that I see before me ❤️

When I asked for your birthday wish list, the first item you wrote was “money to build care packages for the homeless” 😭 After all these years, I shouldn’t be surprised because that’s just who you are.

Our lives became sunnier, happier and more joy-filled the day you were born...and you’ve been spreading that light everywhere you go ever since.

Even though it’s hard for me to think that we only have another year and a half with you at home, I know you are going to do great things & truly leave your mark in this world.

And I’ll be the one in the front row cheering the loudest 💕
