Thank you so much to everyone who weighed in over on Facebook about what you’d like to see more of this season! The response from the majority of you was to feature a mix of casual outfits & festive holiday looks, so I’m sharing both with you today! And this is the perfect time to shop because Macy’s just launched their Black Friday Sale early – you can save 20% off your purchase on select styles with code BLKFRI or get $10 off $25 with code BLKFRI25 + free shipping at $49 (now through 11/24). This is great news because it means all of the pieces I’m wearing below are even more of a steal! Here are two looks I put together for a family dinner/friendsgiving and a holiday party/evening soiree:
FAMILY DINNER
When it comes to casual get-togethers, I’m all about comfort…but I don’t want to have to sacrifice on style. A cozy sweater & stretchy jeans are my go-to combination when all else fails. This might just be the best cardigan I’ve added to my closet this year – the color is so perfect for fall & I love the sleeve detail. It also comes in oatmeal, black & deep olive and it’s only $32!!
Another way I wore this is with it belted on the outside (almost like a wrap coat) & layered over this velvet camisole & these faux leather leggings – so chic! I couldn’t resist these leopard booties – I’ve been wanting to try out this trend, but didn’t want to spend a fortune. These are such a great buy + the lower heel makes them so easy to walk in – they definitely elevate your casual basics & add some oomph!
More cozy sweaters to check out during this sale: this leopard cardigan, this striped sweater, this bow-back sweater, this pile-lined cardigan & this fair-isle sweater. If you’re not a fan of jeans, try leggings like this faux suede pair or this pull-on ponte style (both under $30!).

HOLIDAY PARTY
Who says you have to wear a dress to those evening events? I love the idea of sophisticated separates like a shimmering sequin top & velvet leggings. I’m super-picky when it comes to sequins (I don’t like mine too shiny & I don’t want the fabric beneath to show through). This top checked all the boxes for me – the fit is great and you can re-wear it for New Years’ Eve or Valentine’s Day.
Thanks to the color, I think this will also transition well into the spring – talk about bang for your buck! And these velvet leggings are buttery soft & so flattering. Normally when I wear leggings, I like to cover my backside…but these actually have 5-pocket styling, which makes them look more like pants (note: I went down a size in these).
Other holiday options to try that aren’t dresses: this gorgeous jumpsuit paired with these pumps & this clutch, this one-shoulder top with these wide leg trousers & this beaded clutch or this bell sleeve top with this sequin skirt & this satin clutch. See more of my favorites below!
